We booked two rooms at the Windward for our family of four and were very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and took great care of us. There were lots of details that helped make everything easier, like a clothesline for hanging towels, beach equipment and toys we could borrow. We easily fed our two young children all their meals with the microwave and refrigerator set-up plus dining table and appreciated the outdoor furniture and table for drinks nearby our sleeping kiddos. The location is central to everything and there are lots of things happening at the Veterans Park directly across the street. Highly recommend booking both rooms 4 and 5 if you need two "adjoining" rooms because they share a common windowed porch which is great to store beach stuff and kid toys.

Around the corner from the beach, the Windward sits in the best location, in Beach Haven. The owner, his family and staff take much pride in making sure the guests are happy and comfortable and they keep the Windward meticulously clean. They are very kind and whenever you see the owner, he has a pleasant greeting and asks if you need anything.
If vacationing with young children, there is a lovely lobby with books and toys. There are also enough beach chairs to accomodate all guests and beach passes.
The Keurig, with a large variety of coffee pods is available all day, which was great!
Kudos to David and his staff!

We were pleasantly surprised with the cozy feeling of Windward. Our room was very clean comfortable and well supplied with what we needed for our visit. Michelle greeted us and remained cordial and helpful throughout. Shower necessities were on the wall in dispensers so a quick shower was convenient. We did miss a view of the ocean but our overall stay was lovely.

We stayed in July for three nights and had a great trip! We were able to use the beach chairs they provided as well as the outdoor showers which made life a lot easier! Quiet and clean room to the side of the building, excellent location (super close to the beach, restaurants and shopping.) Some reviews mentioned the beds weren't the most comfortable, but for three nights it was fine. Will definitely stay again in the future; the owners were very friendly and helpful as well!

A beautiful stay at Windward at the Beach. Our yearly visit to Beach Haven had been postponed by Covid and finally we were able to go back to our favorite spot. Windward is a wonderful inn right next to the beach, convenient to the Surflight Theater, Murphy’s grocery, Uncle Will’s, mini golf, all the little shops and a short walk to the amusement and water parks.
The rooms are fresh, clean and comfortable. There is an outdoor shower to take advantage of after a beach day. You can cook and barbecue and then segue over to some live entertainment.
The staff is wonderful and attentive, bagels and coffee on Saturday morning. Such a lovely stay.

This is this most misleading and misadvertised hotel in LBI. I've never been more scammed in my life. They take misleading pictures, use misleading description, to create impression of a charming boutique hotel. In reality, you get a room with windows that open to the hotel hallway!!! No fresh air for you. Ocean view peek means a tiny window where if you step on a chair you will have a peek of the ocean between the roofs of other buildings. Shower is not even 3ft x 3ft. If you are bigger than 5' 4" you are advised to shower in the outdoor shower. Old furniture, which looks like a collection of the abandoned on the street pieces are crammed into space too small for the advertised accommodation. You have no place to unpack, no room to relax unless you want to sit on your bed all the time.

This is one of the best kept secrets on Long Beach Island. The owners and staff are kind and professional. The location is across the street from the beach access and within walking distance to all the fun Beach Haven has to offer. The Inn is clean, well appointed and has a relaxing vibe.

The Windward provides a cool beach experience that cannot be found regularly on LBI. The location was merely steps from the beach, but also 2 blocks from amazing restaurants, bars, and shops in Beach Haven. The front porch and outside patio provided a beautiful place to meet colleagues and co-workers to prepare for our day. Outdoor showers and beach equipment made it easy to spend a whole day at the beach! The room was clean and neat with beachy décor to make you feel at home. The owners were always available to discuss needs and make suggestions. I highly recommend!!

I was pleasantly surprised when we first entered Windward hotel. It was very clean, cozy and cute. Perfect location - not even a block from the beach. Complimentary chairs and toys for the kids were very convenient(saved us some space in the car.) We stayed in Rm 2, where 6 people can sleep comfortably. Even though, our room had a very small bathroom with a tiny shower, we showered outside most of the time anyways(2outside showers.)We loved unlimited complimentary coffee and tea. There was always someone around to assist us with whatever we needed. Owners and their employees are very friendly and helpful. Thank you David and his crew for our memorable stay. The size, we had to work with what we had but you are absolutely right...most of our guests use the outdoor showers. We stayed over July 4th weekend and had a fantastic time. The location is amazing: my kids can walk to the beach by themselves and go get ice cream nearby at their leisure. Rooms are comfortable and freshly decorated with a colorful beach theme. We barbecued on the outdoor patio grill one of the nights and watched people walk their dogs and do goat goat at veterans park. Even listened to the musical Annie as we enjoyed our own food. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas to take the beach and enjoy the day. Amazing local restaurants are 5 min walk and amusement park and water park are 5 min drive. The owners are an amazing family. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable!

The current policy:
Cancellation Policy: One night stays require payment in full and are non-refundable. For stays of two nights or more, a deposit of 50% is required at booking. The balance is due 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations 30 days or more prior to arrival will be refunded less a $95 booking fee. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will forfeit deposit. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will forfeit total amount paid. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly and leave us little time to refill the space you have left.
** SPECIALS, DISCOUNTS and THIRD PARTY party bookings require payment in full and are non-refundable.
