We ended up at the Henry Sawyer Inn due to a booking error. We booked across the street and our reservation was lost so the inn keeper made a phone call and thru some luck we ended up where we did. It was great! Due to a cancellation we got the top floor of the house which was a 2...

We visited Cape May on Memorial Day weekend and joined two other family members at the Henry Sawyer Inn. As my sister-in-law said, 'How could you come to Cape May and not stay in a Victorian?' The innkeeper, Barbara, is quiet. but incredibly accommodating. Besides a wonderful breakfast each morning, she packed us a little bag of treats to start...

The Henry Sawyer building (Eldridge Johnson House from 1877) has a history and is special in itself, however the inn-keeper, Barbara, really contributes to making the stay to something you will never forget. She is pleasant and service-minded, presents you for the other guests if you haven't met the day before, and makes a delicious breakfast. The breakfast consists of...

Came here with my husband for two nights in June on the recommendation of my parents, who gave us a giftcard. Prices were a bit high - had to add money on to the gift, but I think they were just about on par with other B&B's in the area. Location is very convenient to the pedestrian mall, restaurants and...

We booked our Annual reunion of 5 couples at the Inn based on the recommendation of a friend who has stayed here many times. Our stay was just great. On site parking. Spacious porch for sitting and chatting. Gracious Host (Barbara) who welcomed us and made all of us feel as if it were our house. Delicious breakfast with choice...

A fun time, with great food, was enjoyed by our card club this past weekend. Barbara is a gracious host in her lovely inn. We were there last September and couldn't wait to share this special event with friends!

We have stayed at the Henry Sawyer Inn many times when we visit Cape May. It is a lovely small inn conveniently located to the beach and the pedestrian mall. It is lovely seeing the horse and carriages passing by the inn. Barbara, the owner, is lovely and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. She...

My husband & I combined a college reunion event with an overnight trip to Cape May and stayed at the Henry Sawyer Inn at the recommendation of a friend. What a delight! Location was within walking distance of the beach as well as the Washington Steet shopping/restaurants. We were greeted by Barbara who welcomed us, situated us in our room...

We stayed at the Henry Sawyer Inn the weekend after Columbus Day. Our Innkeeper, Barbara, showed us to a large comfortable room with some beautiful antique furniture (the bed) and some white wicker chairs (which were ok). During the afternoon, snacks are provided, along with two choices of wine. You can also get some tea or coffee. On Saturday afternoon,...

What a wonderful place! We stayed at the Henry Sawyer Inn for two days! A lovely B&B whose pictures do not do it justice . Our room, the Abigail Hughes Johnson, was roomy, bright and airy. The five windows light up the room, and when opened we heard the delightful clip-clop of the carriages touring Columbia Avenue. This greatly enhanced...
