We were seasonal for about 6 years. It is like a retirement resort not like a family fun campground. Nothing was ever updated and the the family office workers were NASTY. I rate it 0. Beachcomber, Sea Pines and Lake & Shore are much nicer and family fun and friendly.

This is our first year at Cape Island and my husband and I love to be here. We are in our 60's but are very active. The place may have been around a bit but it has everything one needs. Location is great. I am personally glad that golf carts are not allowed and that quiet time starts at 11:00pm....

The staff is excellent, the place is absolutely gorgeous as are all the properties on site. My family is going to love it here. Extremely happy with my new park model home purchase. Looking forward to many years of memories.

This will be our third year at Cape Island and we love it. You get what you pay for. We are 50, have a teenage son and don't mind that it is so quiet. It's like a neighborhood, because everyone is a resident and there are no transients, coming and going, who don't have a stake in maintaining or caring...

Reading reviews about campgrounds near Cape May. My mother and father owned a place in CI for 18 years. I am an older child so I was a teen when we became seasonal there. My parents are now both deceased. The owners are really nice people and the campground changed some years back from a regular campground to a seasonal...

The review header probably sounds awful so let me explain in the review. Cape Island is a very old park that is also maintained. Roads are not paved but are okay. All of the amenities are maintained to a degree but old and getting older. I was a seasonal in this campground for 10 years. The owners, the Lapores are...

This is our second year and we love it! Not everything is perfect but its a very nice park. Its a little pricey but you know what they say, you get what you pay for. PROS: Upkeep, the rules, the staff, location CONS: Price, lots of kids in the pool-not much room for a leisure swim and really noisy.
