As other reviewers have said before Captain Mey's Bed & Breakfast is in a great location. We love going to Cape May each year and have sayed in several other Hotel's and places before. However, we always try and stay here whenever we can. Our room is always very clean as well as the rest of the Bed & Breakfast....

We stayed at Captain Mey's for a long weekend in July 2013 and it was excellent. We were immediately greeted and made to feel at home. The location is amazing, it's a quick walk to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. Onsite parking was great. Our room and the common areas were immaculate. We loved spending lazy evenings sitting on the...

On Sep 10, 2013 you gave us this review: 4.5 /5 Host was very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean. Free parking onsite was great. Location was in walking distance to most everything, between the beach & Washington Mall. Reasonably priced was one of the reasons we stayed. We stayed in Peter Stuyvesant room, a little tight...

I spent one night at this bed & breakfast over the summer and everything went smoothly. This is a nice and clean place and it includes parking which is great. Good location, near the beach and shops. I would go back.

We have stayed in a number of B&B's in Cape May and so far this is our favorite. The bed was VERY comfortable, bathroom was large, decor was enchanting throughout, and the porch was wonderful. Coffee, tea, and water were available 24/7. Parking on-site was ample and convenient. First floor bathroom available to all residents was an extra convenience. We...

Captain Mey's B & B was ideally located between the beach & shops. Depending on room reservation there was parking on property therefore one could park their vehicle and walk or bike to everything. Rooms were tight & somewhat cluttered with furniture. The wrap around porch was ideal for relaxing and people watching. The continental breakfast was fair & depending...

This B&B is super friendly and a very unique house. It's at a great location close to the beach and to the Washington Street Mall. We stayed in Admiral Piet Hein's suite on the third floor, very nice. Overall a great place to stay.

Our second visit to Captain Mey's and just as enjoyable as the first. Lovely rooms, tasty breakfast, friendly staff. Love that you get full use of the downstairs after checkout, allowing a quick shower after going to the beach. We will be back. Thanks for a lovely holiday! Steve and Debbie

We recently stayed at this B&B. We were pleased to find the house well kept and our room comfortable (although a little small). The people at this B&B are very friendly and helpful and the location is convenient - near the beach and Washington Mall. We had a great time at Cape May and would definitely stay at this B&B...

We have stayed at the Captain Mey B&B many times. It's close to the beach as well as the mall, and the on-site parking is so convenient. Our favorite room is the Captain Mey on the first floor. The inn offers all the amenities, and the continental breakfast is just right. It's always a lovely stay at the right price....

“Owner was very nice once she let us in. We stood on the porch with our bags in 90+ degree weather for 10 minutes watching her through the window speaking to another guest while she looked at us and held up her index finger gesturing to us to wait for her. When the other guest finally saw we were hot and getting impatient, they finally told the owner to let us in. She was very nice and explained about the B & B and took us to our room. That was the last we ever saw of her. The AC in the room was insuficient and there were 2 winter blankets on the bed. No light weight blankets. The sheets on our queen bed were pilled and sooo uncomfortable on my skin. The "fitted" sheet came off on both sides within 10 minutes of getting into bed so we were sleeping on scratchy pilled crinkled up sheets...basically sleeping half on the sheet pile and half on the waterproof mattress cover. The pillows were so overstuffed and hard that they were useless...unless you wanted to commit to a stiff neck for 4 days. And did I mention how hot it was?!? My final complaint was the breakfast. A plate of bagels, english muffins and a bowl of hard boiled eggs left on the table with no "staff" anywhere in sight. Seriously?!? I have never stayed in a B&B that didn't make you a really nice cooked breakfast. It was way worse than any chain hotel's cont. breakfast. Did I really pay $160 for this? I recommend you stay at a Holiday Inn Express over the Captain Mey's B&B anytime.”
