Fred and Joan were excellent hosts, and amazingly friendly and kind. The house is lovingly maintained and impeccably clean, plus the location cannot be beaten (half a block from the beach and walkable to most everything). This really is the most beautiful house on the block -- no joke. Breakfasts made by Joan were delicious! We had wifi, a small... More

This was our 15th year at staying at Gingerbread House with Fred and Joan. We love them, the house and Cape May. They have become family to us and have watched our son grow from 5 year old little boy , to young man of 20 and in college. They not only take care of this most magnificent home, they... More

We stayed at the Gingerbread House in August and absolutely loved the accommodations. Our room was very clean and we had our own porch. Joan and Fred were great hosts and make you feel right at home. Their staff was equally warm and friendly. The beach and restaurants are all within walking distance, great location. Joan's breakfasts were delicious, especially... More

The Gingerbread House blends both vintage charm and modern conveniences. Relaxing on the porch with the fresh sea air and scent of flowers from... More

Our first stay at the Gingerbread House, Fred,Joan, and Mac great people. Rooms clean, breakfast delicious. They gave us a list of restaurants, Joan marked her favorites. Beach close, they provided beach towels and chairs. We will definitely come back, we will recommend to friends and family. Thank you again, Fred and Joan

My husband and I spent another 4 relaxing nights at the Gingerbread House a few weeks ago. It's so nice to come back and see other returning guests. (Also see my other reviews). The reason we love staying here so much is that now, after 12 years, it feels like home. Some of the PRO's: The cleanliness of the place;... More

My husband and I just spent two nights at the Gingerbread House and we just loved it. The accommodation were just perfect and every detail was thought out. We would recommend the Gingerbread House for you next B&B! The beach and shopping were one block away, just the perfect location.
