We were driving to NY from NC and there was an inordinate amount of traffic. I realized I was too tired to make it home so stopped at this hotel, without a reservation around 5:00pm. We were made to feel so welcome by the manager and front desk person greeting us so pleasantly. They asked what type of room we wanted and what floor and they were able to honor the request. We got some fresh chocolate chip cookies, our water bottles and proceeded to our room. What a pleasant surprise. I try never to stay in a hotel in NJ because all I have experienced is filth and unsafe. I am a senior who has traveled the world and have experienced flea bag hotels in NJ like nowhere else, and I’m not talking about cheap hotels. When we walked into our room here it was immaculate, spacious, had a fridge and microwave and coffee maker (which we didn’t use). The shower was great and the bed perfect. I had a great night’s sleep and woke up refreshed and ready to hit the road. When I asked about food delivery, the manager got me a few menus and mentioned the hibachi place was really good. We ordered, it was delivered in half an hour and it so hit the spot. It was delicious. There is free coffee/hot chocolate/tea in the lobby. When I was going to nuke it, the person at the front desk apologized it wasn’t warm enough and said she’d make some fresh. Wow! The included breakfast was the icing on the cake. It was a step above the usual. I hate those runny fake eggs they have everywhere but here they had individually wrapped Jimmy Dean egg sandwiches. Nothing gourmet, but it was so nice to eat something warm besides waffles. The buffet was definitely plentiful with added little details that separate it from the rest, and the person in charge was exceptional in greeting everyone, asking if they needed anything and making sure nothing ran out. Her aim was to please and she succeeded. For the reasonable charge of this hotel, they deliver big time. I highly recommend a stay here and I hope I get the chance to stay here again.

I'm a student leader in an Ivy League pep band. In February 2022, our bus of 40 college students arrived at the hotel at 9:00 PM and discovered that, due to an administrative mistake in our university’s Student Activities Office, our reservation of 15 rooms had never been finalized. The staff were extremely patient in helping us resolve the issue—they let the entire band wait in the lobby, gave us bottled water, and did everything in their power to ensure that we had the rooms we needed. Despite the fact that it took an hour and a half for us to contact our university and find a solution, they continually reassured us and encouraged us to take all the time we needed. Throughout the duration of our stay, from our arrival to our departure the next morning, they went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible.
Furthermore, the rooms were very nice—much nicer than the hotels we usually stay at for the same price. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotlessly cleaned. We had a great time in the pool! The hot breakfast was also very much appreciated—the food was good, and there was a broad selection.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Our band will definitely be staying here again in the future!

We were needing to stop for the evening so I called the Hampton Inn to see if they had availability. Damien, the gentleman on the phone was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel so welcome. When we arrived shortly after and he checked us in, his same welcoming personality and positive comments about their hotel made us feel special. The beds were comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was above the normal standards of hotel breakfast buffets. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Loading our car in the drizzling rain, we accidentally overlooked my husbands toiletries bag. When I called, they again, were so friendly and helpful acknowledging they had it. Damien once again assured me he would personally make sure he would get it returned to us. We travel quite a bit and the staff here are the best at making guests feel appreciated and welcome. They seem committed to their jobs and this hotel.

For my daughter's birthday in May we stayed at this hotel and had an excellent stay. First, the hotel looks brand new, clean, visually very appealing. Marina at the hotel was beyond helpful and friendly, answering our questions and providing information. The gentleman in the evening, name starts with an A, but I forgot his name, was also very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and very clean, comfortable. The hotel's pool was open and they easily put us down for private reservations for us to enjoy the pool for an hour at a time. The pool is not too large, but perfect for our family and we loved that we didn't have to worry about sharing with others during these times. They provided towels at the pool as well. The immediate area of the hotel doesn't have a lot to do, but we drove to an escape room nearby that we really enjoyed, we went kayaking as well (both about 15 mins away in Princeton). We also went to the nearby iPlay entertainment complex with indoor rides and arcade in Freehold (join the kids club before you go for a great discount for the kids). We ate dinner at the nearby Italian Touch restaurant which is on the "best restaurants" list for NJ and let me tell you it is well deserved. BEST meal we had in a long time! It's literally a 2 minute drive down the road, highly recommended.
When school ended at the end of June. we decided to spend a few days at the Shore beaches. We looked for hotels in the area, having stayed last year in Tinton Falls. The prices were about double those of the Hampton Inn Cranbury (they're about 20-25 minutes closer to the beach), but we were so happy with our May stay and how nice and clean the hotel was, that we opted to stay here again the last week of June! It is definitely a drive to the beach (45 mins) but being from NY where we drive 30-45 minutes for anything lol, we were ok with it. We stayed 4 days and drove to the beach each day. One day we opted to do the pool in the morning (make reservations with the front desk) and then the beach in the afternoon and that worked well. There are a lot of beaches that are about equidistant from this hotel (Long Branch, Asbury, Point Pleasant, etc). Breakfast at the hotel for both of our stays was still cold options only - they had huge, delicious muffins, coffee, tea, water, juice, not sure what else. Same options each day, no hot food. You could pack your own brown paper bag with your food choices. Coffee and tea were available all day in the lobby. On our second stay there was a different lady at the front helping us who was friendly, but not to the same level as Marina was. We did see Marina at a couple of points during second stay.

Hampton Inn now has a housekeeping-on-demand policy. However, they don't notify guests of that, so I was surprised when there was no housekeeping after my first night. I requested housekeeping my second night, but they didn't come, so the on-demand part doesn't really work.
Check your bill carefully. They changed me for $13 from the snack bar that I never purchased. They must have entered the wrong room into their system.
The entrance of Route 130 is completely dark and hard to see at night. They should put a light there.
Finally, when I went to dispute the $13 snack charge, I discovered that the phone number listed in their email with my room bill was wrong and did not match the number on the actual room bill. That's just sloppy and unprofessional.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I like to stay at different properties when I travel around, including in my home state of New Jersey. Having passed by this property before, I decided it would be a good place to stay on my way home from Trenton. As always I reserved my room and then the day before the stay I was able to choose a room and opt for a digital key.
Upon arrival, I went right to my room and the digital key worked fine. I did return to the desk to claim my obligatory water and snacks.
The room was spacious, certainly welcome for a Hampton Inn. I am grateful for the upgrade to a slightly bigger room. There was plenty of room for my belongings and space to spread out. The bathroom also had ample room to put down my toiletries. No problems with water pressure or hot water. The room's WiFi and TV worked fine.
In the morning, I enjoyed the selection at the breakfast buffet. Any time I can get both eggs and sausage at a Hampton Inn it's a plus (often it's one or the other). Finally, just like I did when the stay began, I checked out via the Hilton app and was quickly on my way, with my receipt e-mailed to me.
If in the area, this property comes recommended.

Clean and modern design. Comfortable beds and lots of pillows . Staff are very friendly and helpful. On site laundry room very clean . Quiet , breakfast included fresh and tasty , Anna was very welcoming! They have fresh fruit in lobby cookies in afternoon and coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24/7 in lobby . Damion was also especially helpful. I did not use gym or pool but checked them out they looked very clean . Nicely designed rooms and lobby . I would return in a heartbeat . All staff deserve a shout out !

I travel to Princeton frequently for work and recently started staying at this Hampton inn even though it is a few minutes further from my job than another Hampton Inn. This Hampton Inn in Cranbury, NJ has an outstanding director of sales named Ivett Husveth who is absolutely exceptional. Everything about my stay is always perfect here and Ivett always goes above and beyond to ensure I have an outstanding guest experience. The GM and staff are on top of things, the hotel is always clean and quiet, and everyone is friendly. The homemade eggs vs. powdered eggs at the complimentary breakfast are a huge plus!

Convenient location right off of the main room with an adequate parking lot.
Neat lobby and common areas. Check in was easy with free bottled water provided.
Rooms were very neat. Comfy bed, efficient temperature control, good water pressure, adequate TV channels, and lots of USB ports and electrical outlets. Microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board provided. Lots of lamps. Ice maker on each floor.
Pool area was neat but I did not use it. Fitness center was efficient and well-kept with water, towels and sanitizing wipes available.
Hot breakfast hours range from 6-10am and was better than expected with eggs, sausages and home fries. A waffle maker, variety of cereal and oatmeal with toppings. Bagels, breads and a variety of spreads. Juices and hot beverages also available.
Overall great stay here. All staff encountered were great.
