They were genuinely trying to provide a good stay experience. The facilities are not new, but effort goes a long way, and the staff tried to make my stay as good as possible. I did not find the bed or pillows especially comfortable, but the rest of the saty was good and I would stay here again. The price was reasonable.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The indoor heated pool was actually heated and the room is warm so you're not cold when you get out of the water. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The room was very clean, different types of pillows to choose from, Dove products in the bathroom which don't dry your skin. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice room and a good breakfast. There was no soap provided for the bathroom sink but I asked at the front desk and they gave me a mini Dove soap bar which was better than what hotels usually give. Breakfast was pretty good. I also stayed at a Fairfield Inn by Marriott near the Meadowlands on this trip and the breakfast at Holiday Inn Express was MUCH better than Fairfield. The closest restaurant for dinner is at the Hilton next door.

I have stayed here multiple times in the past, but this will be my last time ever after getting an attitude from the front desk person. After checking in for a 2 night stay for 2 adults and 1 child, we went to our room and unpacked. While putting our belongings in the bathroom, I noticed that we were not stocked up on bathroom linens for 3 people. We had 2, full size towels, 2 hand towels, 1 wash cloth and a half of a roll of toilet paper. Shortly after noticing this, I went to the front desk to ask for the proper amount of linens...2 wash cloths,1 hand towel, and 1 full size towel. At this point I was told that they don't just give them out and I'd have to talk to the maid in the morning. Right, like I'm going to sit around all morning and wait for a maid the next morning? I had to practically beg the front desk guy for the linens as he proceeded to recheck what my room was and how many quests I had. He confirmed 3 and I also reminded him that I was charged $10 for an extra person on my reservation, all the while dealing with his crappy attitude during what felt like a towel hostage negotiation. Maybe I was just interrupting whatever he was looking at on his cell phone, who knows? He finally gave me a towel and 2 more wash cloths, but no hand towel. So, a poor review from me and a loss of my future stays at this place because I had to practically beg for what should had been in my room in the first place. A maid never entered our room the following day either. It's a good thing I had to beg for what I needed to get through weekend for a family of 3.

This hotel is LOUD. You can hear everything through the walls . Literally!! Staff is super sketchy! And hotel is definitely not being cleaned properly. I wouldn’t recommend . I have no idea how this places has any good reviews. Also stated they have amazing breakfast. That is absolutely NOT true . They do offer room service but with those prices … I mean the food is more expensive then the actual hotel room 😂

Stayed here for one night and this is what I experienced: When my teenage daughter and I checked in, we were given a king room with a jetted tub rather than the 2 doubles I had booked months ago (which my reservation confirmation on the app said I had booked when we arrived, but then changed once we were checked in). Ok, fine, we didn’t mind sharing a bed and we really didn’t need a jetted tub. I just wanted to be able to take a shower in the morning before driving home. Well, we got into our room, I walked into the bathroom and I saw the panel for the tub on the floor and half of the bathtub handles taken apart, pieces laying inside the tub and on the bathroom floor. What made them think it was okay to give us a room that had only a half functional bathroom?! I called the front desk and at first they told us that the entire hotel was booked and we could go to another hotel in the area if we didn’t want to stay in that room. After I said I expected to be reimbursed for the room, another room suddenly became available. So we moved to a different room… It had a funky smell (chemical-like) and the AC was very noisy, but the bathtub and shower were in tact. When we returned to the room after a concert that night, I noticed that every time we turned on the light it flickered terribly like it had an electrical short.
The bed was comfy enough and the shower was fine (only reason for 2 stars instead of just one). Breakfast on the other hand was horrible… watery yet crunchy scrambled eggs, orange juice that came out looking rather yellow (didn’t drink that!), out-of-order pancake machine, and muffins that didn’t taste like muffins (my daughter said her muffin tasted like bubble gum). When we checked out after breakfast, I had my receipt printed to give the woman at the front desk a few more minutes to take the opportunity to ask me how my stay was and possibly rectify the negative experience we had. She didn’t, so now I am sharing my honest review on every platform that I can.

I love to stay there. The front desk staff is really friendly and helpful, and the place is immaculate. Breakfast is sufficient, and I'm particularly happy that they have hard-boiled eggs. Some of the rooms have a jacuzzi in the bathroom, which is great, especially after driving many miles in the crazy traffic.

This was my first time staying at an IHG hotel as a new member, and it was an excellent experience. Very friendly and fast check-in. Attractive, comfortable, clean room, with everything functional. Very good selection of breakfast items, and the breakfast manager was continuously replenishing items and utensils as needed and wiping surfaces down. Overall, this was an excellent hotel, well run and well-maintained.

Our flight had been cancelled out of JFK and rented a car to drive south to find another airport to get us home. Had been up for over 24hrs urgently needing a place to rest. It was early and all the hotels I called on our route charged crazy extra fees to check in early. By chance I called this hotel and the front desk attendant was so friendly and allowed us to check in early without an extra cost! Great room, comphy beds and amazing breakfast included. Very impressed with all this hotel had to offer and very convenient right off I-95. Will definitely continue to stay at Holiday Inn hotels!!

Room was good for what we needed, only slept and showered in the room as we were in town for two concerts. First morning’s breakfast was good but the second day I scooped a hair out of the eggs, then informed the front desk and instead of changing them out she looked herself- didn’t see one and they just added fresh eggs to the mix. Yuck. Shower shelves had some stains, but overall it was just a place to sleep at night.

The pool is pretty big and I think the picture is an accurate size of what it really is. I have stayed here a few times and no one was ever in the pool, very relaxing. It's also clean and they provide plenty of towels in the pool area.
There are more places to choose from in the East Brunswick area.
