I wonder where all the complaints are truly coming from. I stayed here for a few days with my family for our jersey shore vacation and we thought it was wonderful! We stayed in a two bedroom king suite that was very clean and quiet. We thought the staff was very pleasant and never got the sense that there was anything with which to be concerned about. The hotel was very close to several dining options and retail locations and was a 15 minute drive at most to the Asbury Park Beach. Very convenient.

I do want to be honest- I don't understand why the bathroom sink area in these suite rooms do not have some sort of privacy curtain or door. It does not make much sense to me. Do people enjoy being looked at while they are applying creams or brushing their teeth? I would suggest that management do what Disney World has done, i.e., set up a rod with a curtain at the very least. I will also admit that the rooms could use a refresh but that is in my mind a very nitpicky complaint. Everything was great!

My husband and I stayed at the Homewood Suites, Eatontown NJ in May. This was our second stay at the hotel this year for a recovery period after surgery. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the Wednesday reception. The customer service was outstanding. Special thanks to Jeni, who helped us once again with the accommodations that we needed to make our stay easier. She has been so kind and helpful in whatever we have asked. We will stay here again.

The room was comfortable, especially the beds. We always check the room for cleanliness, it was generally clean and tidy except for the shower head, it had some black film/crud on it. The bathroom room vanity had some dirt and dust on the floor side. If housekeeping took care of those items, especially disinfect and scrub the shower head, it would be great.
The breakfast was ok, the eggs were premade, everything else was good. The hotel offered a small dinner buffet but we did not eat any. It was nice to have that as a choice.
We did not take advantage of any other amenities, we stayed at the beach all day, so we do not have an opinion on anything else.
Jayla was very attentive, making sure our stay was comfortable.
Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay and we would stay again.
It was only 10 mins to the beach and was reasonably priced.
There was one pet peeve, my husband being disabled, he needed a closer parking spot, someone with no HANDICAP PLATES OR DISPLAY parked in a handicap spot, I told the front desk and the CS rep said there was nothing she could do. So that means the sign with the penalty means nothing.

I so wish I could give a positive review, but this was my first experience with Homewood Suites and was disappointed with the service at the Eatontown, NJ hotel. I stayed for two nights in July for a family wedding. The first night my husband discovered that all the soap dispensers in our shower were empty! And we had no bars of soap. So I called the front desk and was informed that there was no one available to deliver soap so I had to go to the front desk to get some. Then, the next morning realized that we only had 2 towels in the room for both of us, so I called the front desk again to ask if we could get a couple more and again I was told that there was no one to deliver them so I had to go to the front desk to get them, which I did in my pajamas and robe. Then the second night our room was not cleaned or made up. I had stopped by the front desk around noon to ask if the room could be cleaned up and was told that the cleaning staff is onsite that day to refresh the rooms and it will be done. By 4:00p it was not done. I again called the front desk and asked if it could be done and they said it would be made up while we were out at the wedding. When we got back, the room was not touched. I have never encountered this at any hotel I've every stayed. I realize this hotel handles large groups for weddings and business travelers and may be understaffed, but at the very least, I would think its guests could expect a room to be serviced. By the way, I was traveling with my handicapped father whose room also was not serviced until late. Thankfully his accessible room was serviced by the time we returned from the wedding.
Then, to add insult in injury, when I checked out, I discovered that someone had charged a frozen dinner to my room. This was of course reversed out by the front desk. But, I guess that's what I get for having to keep asking for amenities.
If I have say something positive, they do offer a nice buffet breakfast.
That said, I also handle travel arrangements for executives and will steer clear of Homewood Suite at least in Eastontown, NJ.

We stayed for a six night stay and specifically chose a Homewood Suites for the apartment-like accommodations. Our traveling party included three children and two adults. We especially appreciate the kitchenette when traveling with children as we are able to spend less on food by not eating out for three meals and snacks throughout the day. The included breakfast downstairs offered typical grab and go items (cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc) and at least two hot items daily. The hot items were obviously reheated and lacking in quality but edible. There was no cream for the coffee or tea, only artificial creamers. The seating area was large and never felt crowded. We never made the evening reception. The room itself was clean and satisfactory other than two items worth mentioning. Our couch cushions either did not fit the couch or are desperately in need of replacement. The seat cushions sat back a good four to six inches, exposing the metal frame. It was not a comfortable spot to sit for any length of time. Also, I was disappointed to discover that the only USB ports in the room were on the DVR and were unable to charge our Apple devices. Most hotels we frequent have USB ports throughout the room and this website specifically mentioned a “workstation” so I did not pack a wall charger. We had to purchase an adapter from a local store just to charge our phones. The laundry room was clean and they had disinfectant and sanitizer readily available for use. The cost to use the machines is $2/wash and $1/dryer. They only accept quarters but the front the desk was able to exchange cash for a roll. Our interaction with staff was pleasant with the exception of one housekeeper who arrived early and audibly scoffed when we asked for five minutes to gather our belongings before leaving. Overall, we will stay here again when visiting the area and hope the minor inconveniences will be resolved by then.

This place is horrible! The people at the front desk don’t have idea about what customer service is. Either how to treat their customers. The guy who was working the late night of August 5th, left a bridal couple without a room. They had made a block reservation until midnight. It was 11 pm. After two and a half hours he couldn’t solve this issue and the brother of the bride man left his room to the couple. There were not enough towels at the suite. We called front desk to ask for assistance and they told us they do not have personal available to hand us the towels to the suite. The breakfast is horrible and in general is a noisy place.

We booked this hotel as my dog was having surgery at a nearby hospital and it was not only pet friendly, but also had good reviews. Everyone I spoke to during the booking process and check-in were very helpful and professional. We booked using my mom’s AARP rate, which specifically states on the Hilton site when booking that it offers, through that rate, a 2pm late checkout.

I went to the desk the night before, and was told that as long as I contacted the desk prior to 11am and reminded them I would be fine. I went to the desk at 8:20am this morning, no one was there. Amy then appeared from the back, chewing on her breakfast, to respond to my inquiry that she exceeded the number of late check-outs, that there is no such thing as an AARP late check out and that there was nothing she could do. I then looked for my confirmation, went back to the desk, showed her, and she said she never heard of that and said there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was met with a “no,” but she finally conceded to an 11:30am check out which was something, but much early than the 2pm we had anticipated.

I work with students and parents on a daily basis and much of what I do I consider customer service. The “fake” smile and condescending “thank you” from Amy was infuriating, especially when I asked her her name.

Again, the hotel itself is fine and everyone leading up to this point was very helpful. The lack of customer service and condescending unprofessional mannerisms and behavior this morning during a time that was already stressful is what made this stay end on a very low note.

We spent two nights here as we were in the area for personal business. The location is a bit odd as noted by previous reviews but your confusion clears up after finding the hotel the 1st time.

The facility was clean, well maintained and the front desk staff friendly and accommodating. The king suite we had was spacious, clean, comfortable and the kitchenette was a bonus for us. We had busy schedules and the comfortable beds, great water pressure and fluffy towels were welcome after a long day.

We enjoyed our stay here and would easily recommend this Homewood to any friends who visit Eatontown or the surrounding areas.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites this past weekend as I was working with a wedding group and I cannot be more impressed with their service. From the way that they handled the room blocks, to welcome boxes to check in on multiple rooms—they made all aspects of the planning to our stay incredibly seamless. The front desk staff upon our arrival was also incredible kind and helpful. They made sure that we felt taken care of throughout our stay. Can’t thank them or recommend them enough!

We booked a hotel block at Homewood Suites for our wedding in October 2022. Juana and Jeni were wonderful to work with from the start: they explained each step of the process to us, were readily available for our multitudes of questions, and ensured that we had the information to communicate as clearly as possible with our guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable with large kitchen areas (very helpful for storing all of the post-wedding food). The lobby was quite nice with lots of seating areas for breakfast both mornings and for the after party post-wedding. The continental breakfast was fairly standard and well-prepared. One quick note was that the beer is only sold until 11pm, so it was closed by the time our wedding ended and we were very glad we brought wine/liquor and snacks for everyone. Juana also allowed us to leave our guest bags at the hotel over a week before the wedding since we live out of town and that was the only way we could drop them off before guests began arriving. They also gifted my new husband and I our wedding night suite, which was very appreciated.

Sorry to say, we did not use the pool. We were busy seeing other attractions in the area. The pool looked nice and was still open, whereas last year this same week it had been closed because of the hurricane. They do not have a hot tub..
