The review right before me complained about rude staff, well they were lucky to simply get the door slammed in their face. When I asked the name of the front desk clerk, she said that was harassment and claimed she called the police. Then refused to come to the front desk at all. I’ve stayed at this hotel before, but never again. Was overcharged to boot. Document all interaction with staff, including videotape. It might not only keep you from being overcharged, it could potentially keep you out of jail. I wish I was joking…..

It is the worst IHG hotel I have stayed in. As a long-term IHG member who travelled to 30+ countries, I found this one the most underperforming and disappointing, among the Holiday Inn, Candlewood, Voco, Kimpton and InterContinental hotels I stayed at. Unfortunately, this is the only IHG hotel in the area where I am currently visiting. Staff: Impatient and discourteous. When we checked in at 4pm, everything was rushed without any smile or words about wifi/facilities/etc. When I called the front desk about questions, I was put on hold for so long that I have to go downstairs to them. Then, they said they had escalated the issue to the manager, so I moved aside from the check-in area to the office door to wait for the manager, but the staff literally slam the door in my face. They said the manager was on the phone, and I waited at the lobby so long that I had to go back to my room again to wait, but I never received the response back on my room phone. The front desk let me know the manager’s name is Sam Mogilisetty. COVID Response: No employees (front desk or cleaning team) are wearing masks, but the complimentary breakfast has been completely canceled. Many other hotels in NY/NJ require their staff and guests to wear masks and provide to-go breakfast bags instead during the pandemic. Room: If the layout wasn’t so strange, I would say it is better than a motel or 2-star hotel room. Pretty hard to explain the layout…first time seeing it…all rooms do not have a real window but instead a whole piece of transparent glass between your private room and a public corridor….You can also easily hear the noises from the corridor and your neighbors. Price: Not matter if you pay with money or points, this hotel is probably not worth it from the quality or experience perspectives. Facilities: Wifi is ok for casual web browsing, but probably does not support working. No one was using the pool, not sure whether it is closed or dirty. The parking lot is good.

A few weeks ago we had a state wide power outage and I called this hotel to confirm they had power so I could take my one year old there for the night. They outright lied to me and said they had power and charged me $200 for a non-refundable room. I got there, 6 months pregnant with a tired and hungry one year old and they had no power and there was no one at the front desk checking people in. So I turned around and left, and had to scramble to find somewhere for me and my toddler to stay at 7 p.m. at night. I called the next day to have my money refunded and they told me they were too busy and to call back. I have now been calling for 3 weeks and every time getting redirected to a different department saying they can't help me that the room was non-refundable. I would have never booked a $200 non-refundable room less than 5 miles from my own house if I hadn't called first and been assured that they do have power. I am disgusted at the fact that they would lie about this and then not willingly issue a refund, the management at this hotel should be ashamed of themselves.

The owners and managers of this property are dishonest- they accepted non-refundable reservations knowing they did not have power at their property and could not accomodate guests. This is outrageous. I would never recommend staying here- they had no a/c, no flashlights, nothing to even offer guests who needed to stay there.

The website still reads like all services are uninterrupted, until you check in. The restaurant is closed, no housekeeping services, you have to request towels and they do not remove the dirty towels, rooms do not cleaned or vacuumed, bed linens are not changed. The hotel is remodeling and my room was in the middle of the remodel so my wife and I were woken up 7:30am-8am for 3 days and they left all the furniture they removed from the roo.s they worked on in front of my room to trip over each morning. I complained to the staff so they gave me 2 bottles of water and 3 packages of muffins. Dont worry, they still charge regular rates.
