We had a great Memorial Day holiday weekend at Butterfly. This was our first time there and we were impressed by how well it's maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. The sites are on the smaller side, but clean. They have a brand new playground, offer activities (crafts, games, ice cream sundaes, etc.) and for the holiday they had a petting zoo. It's a small and quiet campground which is exactly what we were looking for. This campground is great for families, or adults that want to relax and unwind. If you're looking for a party atmosphere go somewhere else. I would recommend this campground to anyone who wants a safe, quiet and clean camping environment.

The campground was overall pretty nice. Seems like a lot of campers there are regulars. They had a dog park which is awesome when traveling with pets! A bit expensive and cell phone service was not great. If you have kids the pool, mini golf, arcade room, and outside games would be worth the trip to Butterfly Camp Resort.

We have been going to this campground gor many years for their wet and wild weekend the first weekend in august and it has gotten progressively worse. Although the campground is nice the owners have gotten progressively worse. You cant do hardly anything there anymore without getting yelled at for something. I could go on and on about things thaf you aren't allowed to do now.the list wiuld be shorter of list the things you are allowed to do

Avoid at all costs! The people who run this place only care about you if you're part of their little group. They belittle you when you ask for services and they make every one of their mistakes the customer's fault. They don't empty the toilets like they say they do, and they're overall lazy. They also get annoyed when you ask them to buzz you in.
Clearly they hate this business, so I'm not sure why they run it. They'd clearly be happier doing something else.
They also have spies and make you feel like you're in a prison with prison guards.

We had a wonderful stay...truly one of the best campgrounds we've been to. Friends stay there every year and asked us to join them. Siggee was terrific; treated us and everyone else like family with all its diversity. We so appreciate it. The pool was beautiful and they are serious about speed limits and quiet after 10 pm. We will definitely go back.

Mis-sent mail sat for nine days. Multiple calls to the campground office went mostly unanswered. When we reached the manager she assured us the mail had been sent out and she would get back to us with a tracking number. Total silence followed. Our client drove three hours back to the campground and her mail was sitting in a basket. The manager totally dropped the ball on this entire situation and her attitude was "I was too busy." What a lousy experience.

Worst campground we have ever been to. If the bed bugs don’t get you the nasty owners will. Not to mention you better bring a wad of cash as that is all they take (wonder if the irs has looked at that!) and they will charge you for everything! Nasty owners who curse at you in front of your children. Save yourself and stay anywhere else. Even a box on the side of a road would be better!

I wouldn't stay here if the world was ending. My family and I had made arrangements to come and enjoy our Labor day weekend in Jackson with some family friends. We should have known that this place was going to be a hassle when we first booked our reservation. First they lost my money order two times, and when I had called on the day of travel, they had said they never got the money order, but when I looked it up on the US postal service's website they had stated that it has been delivered, so then all of a sudden they had found the money order. That's not the end of it they then went on to to tell me they never received my final payment of $90.00, and when I had called the Post office they said it was sitting there waiting for them to come pick it up, when I had told them it was there they insisted that it was not there job to pick up MY MAIL, I said excuse me but the post master will not let me pick up your mail, so basically she told me that I was SOL unless I went to the Jackson post office and picked up there mail, which they would never let me do. So my mom gets off the phone with the campground, and then I call them backed, and I'll be honest I did say the f word to the lady on the phone, but that's only because my mother was extremely upset, and she was looking forward to being with her friends, so because I said the F word when my family and I arrived Don Letho(owner) wanted to take me outside and "make a man out of me" for cursing at his daughter. So unless you want a tattoed bully to beat up your family members because the accomadations were being a hassle I wouldn't stay here. Please listen to me when I say Dont come here I dont want your family to have to experience horrible service from these NASTY PEOPLE. Oh I almost forgot dont go on there facebook page and look at there photos because 98 percent of the photos are the owners childeren having fun, so dont be mislead by these horrible people.

In the beginning we loved the campground. We found the sites a little small and the "lake" is actually a swamp, but we loved the pool, the cleanliness of the washrooms and the hiking trail for the dogs. Unfortunately, part way through our stay we discover ticks all over the dogs (over 100). We treated the dogs, removed the ticks, and opted to stay of the hiking trail. We soon discovered that the ticks weren't only on the trail but all over our site. The dogs were covered again and I found 8 ticks on me. I had to go to the hospital for help with removal and my dog needed antibiotics. I have left 3 messages for the manager (Patti) but she refuses to speak to me. Apparently they don't feel the need to post warnings or spray the grounds. They also have ridiculous charges for late check-out and very poor management skills. They wouldn't even allow us to return a bundle of firewood after we opted to stay inside our camper to avoid the ticks. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS POORLY MANAGED RESORT UNLESS YOU WANT LYME DISEASE. The place should be re-named Tick Camping Resort.
