The rooms were great. The facilities were okay. Breakfast room was too small for the number of guests and the choice of food was moderate. Food ran out before the breakfast time was up! However, the location of this hotel is terrible. The roads surrounding...More

Hotel Pluses- Very close to Journal Square PATH station.
Negative- We walked one path when it was light out, and a different one when it was dark.

I agree with the previous writer, we walked back from the station which is only a short walk but never did this after 11. Even at 11 there were lots of homeless people hanging around, sometimes arguing and that could be unsettling. The hotel itself is just past a residential area but it really is the walk to there that could be a concern for some. Personally I would do it alone but then I am a bit of a wuss when it comes to that sort of thing.
The hotel itself is ok, safe and staff are good.
