I was very happy with my stay although it was very brief. Hotel was recently renovated and is very nice, neat and clean.
Staff was friendly, and reservation by phones was extremely quick.
I did not try the pool or the fitness center but both looked well kept and clean.
My only complaint is that going to sites like expedia would have been cheaper, but I booked direct with the hotel (and paid about $25 more) because I needed to ensure that I would have connecting rooms.

This was a typical HGI with very nice common areas and a very attractive room. After the three preceding nights at Hampton Inns we really appreciated having a dining room and a real breakfast in the morning. There was an indoor pool and spa but I just didn't have the time to use them. The staff was very nice and very professional.
While the omelettes and sausages were first rate, I think the dinner was just adequate. I had a steak sandwich and it could have been much better. Right next door is a steak house and on the other side a Ruby Tuesday so you have alternatives. I found it difficult to get into the parking lot because of traffic, poor signs and a misleading road that looked like a driveway into the property. Still, I do recommend this location.

Very rude sales people, not only to bride and groom but also to guests calling to inquire. Overpriced rooms. Booked 25+ rooms for a wedding and found significantly cheaper rooms from third party websites; staff was not accommodating. No comped room for bride and groom. Had the bar/lounge (also known as the lobby) booked for an after party. Bartender was unaware of our party and thought she was going home and didn’t serve our guests at first. Finally got them to keep the bar open and they had the smallest and most over priced drinks we have ever seen, cheaper drinks at Yankee stadium. Made welcome bags for all guests and front desk only allowed two per room. We were told gratuity was included in our outrageously overpriced breakfast only to find out from our server it is not. I would never recommend anyone getting married at Clarks Landing to stay at this hotel. In fact I would recommend they stay away to avoid our unnecessary added stress.

We are very sorry you feel this way. All information and details were discussed with the bride and groom, and they were happy with everything. They were even upgraded to a King Suite at no additional cost. The bride and groom were also the ones who instructed us to hand-out two bags per room. All guests have the option to book through third party sites; they do not have to book within the block that the bride and groom set up for their guests. However, if a guest decides to book through a third party site, we cannot alter the reservation. Again, we're very sorry you were unsatisfied with your stay, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

We stay with in the Hilton family brands quite often because of the great service and amenities that the hotels offer.
Pros of this location. Clean and comfortable stay, Half hour from Asbury Park, an hour from Atlantic City and there are some good food options in the surrounding area (you need to drive) including a Longhorn Steakhouse on the same lot.
Things that did not impress me. I understand that due to covid-19 there are plenty of restrictions that are set in place and I’m absolutely cool with that. However, what I am not cool with is over charging your guests $3.50-$4.50 for a 10-12oz cup of subpar coffee in the hotel lobby. That takes testicles of steel to charge the price for that. There is a Starbucks next door and the Keurig in room. Next is, we requested housekeeping the room was cleaned, towels replaced all good, but where’s the remote? My husband and I both looking for it. My husband decided to lay on the bed for a second and laid on something hard. He pulled back the blanket and sheet and the remote was under both in the middle of the bed. Small oversight yes, but seriously?! At that point you just have to laugh.
Lastly, the restaurant in the hotel was closed due to covid (no complaint there) and the sign stated that for convenience to go boxes were available. Cool. I went to go ask at the front desk on Friday morning was barely acknowledged and asked the lady what the breakfast was. (dietary restrictions for health) Before I could say anything else she told me I could by something from the lobby or check out the restaurants in the area. She did not even offer me a to go box and walked to the back while I was still standing there. Very rude. That same night after coming back from our outting and dinner I inquired at the front desk again about the boxes and the two ladies working there exlained to me that it’s all pre packaged food bagels, yogurt etc. and even offered me a box. I told them I was stuffed from dinner and would wait. They said In the morning just let the person at the desk know the number to our room and that was it. I did that the following day and no issues at all. The boxes are very good and while I couldn’t eat certain things my husband was happy with his extras from me lol. All in all it was an ok stay. I would give this location another chance. I understand people have off days, but attitude and service are everything especially in the hospitality line of work.

We have been Hilton members for many years, staying in your properties up and down the East Coast. Recently staying at the Hilton Garden in Lakewood, NJ from July 7, 2021 thru July 11, 2021. Not for a vacation, but for a death in the family, my wife’s younger brother passed away suddenly. We drove from upstate New York, one son flew in from South Carolina and our other son drove down from New Hampshire. Both sons were appalled by the treatment & condition of your hotel. Not only did the hotel NOT OFFER any type of bereavement rate, we paid over $1300.00 USD. Several nights the rate was over $440.USD. What did we get for this—beds that creaked/groaned and were horrible to try to sleep on. When the non English speaking maids finally showed up: the trash was emptied, bed ½ ass made, bathroom not cleaned (toothpaste from prior occupant on the wall), not enough towels, cups or coffee (from Mexico no less). Add to this the A/C quit in the middle of the night and one of the two elevators also quit. By far the worst of any Hilton property we have stayed in. When asked to get a room change, we were told:’ we are all booked up.’ So much for your customer service, (which I did contact with no reply), so much for your slogans or your corporate compassion. Our stay had to be extended, contacted the Clarion Hotel in Toms River. Yes they had rooms, which were clean, comfortable & reasonably priced and was told they have a bereavement policy. Looks like it is time to switch hotel chains and let the traveling public know about the treatment Hilton gave us. We feel Hilton ripped us off and were under served. REMEMBER this stay was because of death in the family, not a vacation to the Jersey Shore.

Stay far away for any wedding blocks. This hotel was awful to work with for my sisters wedding. She was lied to about renovations, misled about room blocks, given false guest list information, and charged prices that well exceed what were found online. She was misled on breakfast charges as well by hundreds of dollars and the bar that we were told would be available for our after party was in the lobby, charged fifteen dollars for a 6oz mixed drink full of ice and wasn't fully stocked knowing we had over 60 people staying at the hotel. A wedding is stressful but the hotel should be the easiest part of the planning. It was by far the most stressful for my sister and brother in law.

This hotel is a scam, sorry I can’t find better word to describe it. The only Hilton you will experience in this Hotel is lobby that is really nice, real Hilton, but my guess is that you not booking hotel to hang out in the lobby right? Let’s talk about room. I booked room for $180 expecting Hilton standards and what? I got room that is no different from room in under $50 hotel. I’m really not kidding, the room and hotel inside is 2 stars rating place. Dirty carpets, old furniture, broken shelves in the bathroom, typical low budget beds, $10 Walmart pillows. Huge disappointment, I feel like I was scammed. Pictures, lobby everything looks good, then you arrive the hotel and you enter under 2 star dirty room that you purchased for $180 per night. Sounds like a joke, bad joke…. I feel scammed. Oh one more thing, I asked for baby crib, they said: sorry we don’t have any. Hilton? Please… please….

The hotel was easy to find and check into. Upon entering my room I immediately smelled a moldy funk by the door. I assume it was slopppy guests or lack of cleaning properly. I didn’t say anything while I was there because it would take days to clean and dry that properly .

Great place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lobby was under small renovation but was still kept very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have much of a choice on hotels as there was only 3 in this general area glad we decided to pay the extra to stay here

Hi Eric,
Yes. Hilton offers a discount to all AAA and AARP Members. When booking online or via phone you can request it. Proof of membership is required upon check-in. Please contact the hotel if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
No, they have a pay restaurant. I wish we got breakfast at this one.
it's a few miles. No Hilton w/ beach views. There are very few hotels near Point Pleasant.
Hi Faigy. We apologize for the delayed response, but we're glad to see that other members of the TripAdvisor community helped answer your question!
At our Hilton Garden Inn Lakewood, New Jersey, every guest room include a refrigerator. We do not have any guest rooms with jacuzzi tubs, I'm afraid... but we do have a heated whirlpool in our indoor pool area that is available to all guests.
Hope to see you soon, and let us know if you have any other questions. Happy travels!
