Detailed Reviews
This was our first time staying at the Tradewinds, and we can echo many of the positive comments made by other folks. The front office staff was pleasant, efficient, and most courteous, gladly chatting about Lavallette and what the area has to offer. The room was clean and comfortable, and other guests respected the "quiet hours." Despite the full house, there was no noise from other rooms or passing guests, and no traffic noise from nearby Route 35 North. The motor lodge is conveniently located to the beach, shopping, and area dining options. A most pleasant experience - we will return!

Fantastic place to stay when in Lavallette, NJ. Rooms are recently upgraded and very clean. Excellent location near the beach and local restaurants and shopping, the pool was warm and well-maintained, and all of the staff was very friendly. The sun deck is a great option for guests and there are plenty of trash cans and recycling bins around. Request room 16 if you want quick access to the sun deck and pool and a 2nd floor view towards the ocean. One of the best experiences we've ever had staying on the NJ shore. Book a room here - you won't be disappointed!

It was a great stay for a one night getaway . It’s nice that lavalette has this spot for those who have no time or funds to stay for a full week or even 3 nights. Please don’t stop offering that Tradewinds:) the hotel was clean, pool nice and nice lounge chairs .
Parking was included for 1 spot. And location was amazing. Only two things that I would change : the best were noisy and uncomfortable. Every time you turn over it makes lots of noise. The outside lights are on all night so it makes the room extremely bright all night long. Either turn them off or get better black out curtains.
That’s about it, overall will be back :)

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Tradewinds. Tammy & Walt Sr greeted us with great hospitality. Walt even graced my family with his Trademark Jelly Donuts and just like Tammy, we will be forever connected to Tradewinds when visiting 'The Shore'. The rooms are clean and staff is helpful. Tommy helped us navigate some of the local eateries. When lodging at Tradewinds, you will receive the best customer service, great advice on food and activies, a block from the beach and best of all having a sense of family. We will be back. K Point

Just stayed there for 3 nights. As always the stay was great. Clean rooms, clean well maintained property. Staff is great and I will let you in on a great piece of info; the motel is family owned and everyone that works there is family so all staff have a vested interest in the motels success and they are all great. I and my family have stayed at this property many times over the past 15 years. Never had a bad stay or problem. Close to the beach! and close to any thing you might need great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. For a great Jersey Shore get away you just can't miss if you stay at the Tradewinds. Compared to the local rental prices and the ABNB prices for a short stay this property is a great alternative.
Note: when we got into town (LATE 12am) our room's A/C was only working at about half efficiency. I reported it first thing in the morning and there was a brand new unit installed and running when we returned from breakfast and some beach time. They just give great service and have genuine concern for the guests who stay with them. Will stay again!

Carolyn and staff at the Tradewinds Motor Lodge are awesome!!! So accommodating, friendly, kind and professional.
Upon our arrival we had a issue with our toilet. It was immediately addressed. And resolved.
And I received a call while on the beach the next morning from Carolyn to let me know That a plumber was called in to ensure I had no further issue during our stay.
Room was exceptionally clean, staff always available for extra towels when needed. The pool area and sun deck great extras on the property. Excellent customer service.
Great bakery next door for morning coffee/ danish.
Definitely would recommend and will return! Thanks Carolyn and staff!

Our stay at The Tradewinds was wonderful! We were looking for a nice little getaway that was both affordable and convenient with respect to beach and restaurant accessibility. We found it at The Tradewinds. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from booking to post-checkout. I highly recommend this location for anyone to vacation in the NJ Shore area!

Hello Lauren, We do not have coffee makers. Please feel free to bring one. The Colonial Bakery next door has an amazing coffee bar too. See you soon!!
