I am writing this report in hopes to warn anyone out of state visitor or anyone who doesn’t know NJ STATE LAWS. Below is an attached report filed against the general manager Jessica Nader. She has been targeting, discriminating, harassing, threatening and racially profiling me and my family for weeks. This all started when she says we didn’t let her come in the room we had been staying in from 10/10/20 until now which is 5 months. This was already proven false by her maintenance man who came and checked the room the same day. I’m reaching out in regards to a prior incident that was reported on 3/19/21. I would like to report another issue that transpired today and last week with the same general manager Jessica Nader. A housekeeper came to our room last week and asked will we be checking out. I let her know we had already paid to stay, she then asked if we needed anything. I requested all clean items like sheets, toilet tissue etc. she told me she’d be right back with it. About 15 minutes went by and I realized she hadn’t come back so I went to check for her. She then stated to me as per her manager they are not allowed to give us anything ask us if we need anything or accommodate to our needs in anyway or they would get “ in trouble “. She stated that she was told to tell me to come to the front desk and speak with them. I did as was told and went to the front desk to receive clean product. Jessie who is another front desk rep was there when I approached and I asked her for the clean items. Her body language and tone of voice made it clear that she was told the same as the house keeper. Jessie then says to me “ you need to check into another room and you’ll have clean product there “ I declined to move because it was only me at the time and we have a lot of belongings to be moved if that where to happen , but we had already been moved just last week. Jessie then stated rudely “ that’s not an option “ I declined again and requested the items I needed as to why I was at the front desk to begin with. Jessica Nader came out her office finally and the began to try to confront me saying I need to leave why won’t I just check out. I refused to argue with her and told her I will not be checking out. Jessica raised her voice at me and threatened me stating “ then you’ll get what you deserve “ after her forceful attempt to have us check out the hotel was declined. She became irate because of this. I immediately became afraid for not only my life but my fiancé and dogs life who stays here as well and called the police. Prior to this she already tried to accuse our small dog for being vicious and snapping at another guest. That matter was later addressed and she stated it was a mistake and how they had the wrong dog. I did make a report with the police after this incident happened. Today 3/23/21 she continues to retaliate by continuing to cancel our reservation through the property without any consent from my fiancé or I. We made the reservation early in the week on 3/18/21 for a total of $411.02 after taxes. It was cancelled again by the property today. We then made another reservation same day but it was cheaper for $397.60, that was then canceled. When we went to reserve for the 3rd time the price had now raised to $522.16 and was not canceled. After realizing what was being done I called to file another report with the properties customer service line. The first supervisor named Collin began the conversation very aggressively and stated rudely that I was already told this is closed. He spoke over me and put me on hold in the middle of speaking and trying to express to him no one ever reached out about anything in regards to this on going issue. I realized this was going no where and started to feel like I was being not only targeted but discriminated against by all parties. I expressed the way he was speaking was uncalled for and requested his supervisor or someone who can help accommodate my booking. He told me he didn’t have one and there’s nothing they can do and the call was disconnected. I called back and spoke with another supervisor named Ellen. Once I told her everything and she read the prior notes she stated it is clear I am being retaliated against. It was stated that they did receive a call for the prices to be raised and to her knowledge if the booking was made prior the property would have to accommodate to the original price that was booked earlier in the week being that it was not canceled by us. She stated the general manger Jessica Nader knows at this point we can not be removed nor will we be checking out until better circumstances so there was no reason to cancel without consent from the tenant/ guest. I am righting this with a heavy heart today and I feel my family and I are not being treated equally and like every other paying guest. Keep in mind the new room she moved us too has a lot of damages such as rust on the lamp post. The heater smells of urine when turned on. The shower head has a leak and the sink including the area it’s in has cracks and holes in it. We reported this the Jessica before moving in and she stated that was the only room she had available. Any time a report is filed she does some form of retaliation in hopes of making my family uncomfortable enough to leave.…
It was a fun trip. Internet was spotty and whenever I tried to stream it would buffer. Front desk were huddled together and talking without a mask, or never there. The location was great and rooms were nice.
All the staff is very polite and professional! The maids and laundry personal are super sweet and work very hard. All front desk staff are very helpful and polite. They go above and beyond no matter what shift! The manager is also extremely professional!
This hotel is generally as you’d expect for a mid-range chain. The rooms were clean and generally nicely appointed. The big drawback was the WiFi. I stayed two nights and on the second , a Sunday , streaming a movie was almost useless. I wish I’d brought my T-Mobile hotspot. Please fix this issue for the future. It’s no longer a luxury.
Stayed here few nights with family. Besides indigent people living here full time (always outside smoking), the cops were on the property twice. Rooms and hallways were dirty and had odd smell. I will NEVER stay here again.
