I happened to stumble into the Parkview Inn quite by accident. It was about 10 year's ago.
Had a reservation at another B&B in town. Upon arrival..we were so disappointed. Nothing like we'd hoped. We took a chance. Left and went from place to place. Hoping to find ..that certain one...that would fill my wishes of what a B&B should look like. That warm..welcoming feeling. Quite old -style. Unique room's with a view. And a wonderful breakfast for the start of the day.
Happened upon the Parkview Inn.Which happened to be located on the last street in Ocean Grove. Last Chance!! Climbed the stairs anticipating another disappointment. The outside had flower boxes ,overflowing. A huge porch with rocker's..and beautiful awning's. I kept my finger's crossed that the interior would be as lovely. As soon as I opened the door...I knew, I'd found what I'd been searching for.
We'd not had a reservation..but,were lucky to be able to get a room. The room was so romantic and decorated in the perfect Victorian Theme. We were thrilled.Private bath, small kitchenette & air conditioning. Most did not offer these immenities.
While exploring the huge Victorian..I discovered the back of the Inn Had porch's with rocker's. Over looking Asbury Park. Which is now in the stage's of being restored.There's a strolling path off the rear..with a paddle-lake.It was perfect from start to finish. Price range was amazingly reasonable.
Different Inn Keeper's now...but, they've enhanced the elegance and sheer perfection of delight that the Inn has to offer.
I've been back time after time since. I will never forget my first impression and the welcome that was given to us at the Parkview Inn. P.Keenan, Rutherford,NJ
