This motel is nothing fancy but how much are you actually in your room when you are down the shore? I was amazed by how clean the rooms was. It looked like the sheets were even ironed. Our stay was during the Delta COVID increase so I asked that no cleaning service be done during our stay trying to keep people out of the room. Everyone that we spoke to was super friendly & we enjoyed our stay very much. The room rates are very reasonable for a shore motel & we will come back again.

The place is 2 floors. Pool looks bigger in pictures but is fine, goes to 8 ft deep. Enough area to chill at by the pool.
Room is fine, nothing crazy to report.
Only 1 vending machine for drinks. Fridge is a good size, ours need some force to stay closed. Will fit plenty of drinks.
We heard from others that not all rooms are updated. I would not say ours is updated but heard 1st floor is nicer 🤷🏽♀️ . Lots of places close by to eat bc of what is going on places are packed so we just got pizza.
This place is by some type of trash yard so most of the time the outside by the pool area was stinky.
Just a quit trip for us for 1 day.

Very nice room for a family of 4. We had 2 young children with us. Although the room was a bit small, we stayed for one night so we didn’t mind. The bathroom was tiny however. And in the bathtub we found hair. Besides that, everywhere else was clean. The beds were very comfy. There isn’t any vending machine for drinks and snacks but up the road is 711. I also love that there’s a breakfast and lunch spot across the street from the motel which made it convenient for us to grab a bite before heading to the beach. If I’m ever around the area, I would probably book this place again.

My boyfriend booked a 2 night stay at The Atlantic Motel, this was a spur of the moment trip and we wanted to get to the beach before the 4th of July. I read reviews and saw good ones and bad ones, I figured I shouldn't judge until I see for myself. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful, she called my boyfriend when the room was ready for us. Once we got our keys and walked our bags to the room, I suggested we check under the mattress to make sure there's no bed bugs (I've always seen horror stories on FB so I figured we should check). My boyfriend lifted the mattress and we founds syringes in between the mattress and the box spring. Pretty disgusting that the room was not cleaned from the people who used it before us. God forbid one of us stepped on a syringe?! We went to tell the front desk attendant and she kept going to the back room behind the counter to speak to her "boss". Not once did the boss come out to talk to us about what just happened. The girl told us the head cleaning woman would clean the room for us but we didn't feel comfortable staying in that room. (I attached photos of the room for reference.) After saying we were uncomfortable, the girl said she can upgrade us to the king suite, we went to that room and saw ants all over the table next to the bed. We didn't go to the front desk again because I'm pretty sure there was nothing better at this place! If you stay at this motel, check under the mattress and make sure you inspect the room.

I booked my one night stay, months in advance through hotels.com, who I've used many times and have never had an issue. The hotels.com cancelation policy was 10 days in advance. When hotels.com online couldn't find my reservation I was forced to leave a message and wait for a call back. In the meantime I called the hotel, explained I needed to cancel and was told I had to cancel through Hotels.com, they couldn't help me, AND that their cancelation policy is 2 weeks in advance, not 10 days. You can't have it both ways- you can't push me to talk to hotels and offer zero help, but then say you're going to supersede the hotels.com policy, to your benefit. Needless to say I ended up with the $275.00 bill, for a stay I didn't use, simply because the hotel refused to work with me, reach out to hotels.com on my behalf, (why should they, right, they already charged my card at the time of booking, obviously knowing full well their cancelation policy didn't match the hotels.com policy). Never again. I don't care if its the only room left at the beach I will never book here again- and i promise I will tell everyone I know about this experience.

We were out of town for Christmas when we got stuck in the blizzard. On top of that out daughter became sick and we spent 9 hours in a hospital. Trying to get to family for the holidays we booked to stay here for one night. Over the duration of the night my daughter became worse and we decided it was best to return to the hospital and get home asap instead of continue our vacation. Less than 8 hours after booking the room I tried to cancel explaining the situation hoping for at least a partial refund( what is listed on booking.com for that room if you cancel) but was denied and full balance plus cancel fees were deducted. I was not asked for a hospital bill to prove our situation just a denial. Common human decency is lacking here and running a business solely to make money fudge everything else is a set up for failure. I do not recommend this place.

Do not stay here under any circumstances! After having paid in advance for a non-smoking room, we checked in late, and the only available room had a disgusting, overpowering stench of cigarette smoke. Since we could not possibly stay in that room, we handed back the keys to the night attendant, explaining why, and scrambled to find a room at another motel. The Atlantic manager was away, and when I finally reached him a few days later, he refused to give any refund and claimed we had stayed in the room !!

What a little gem! Our room was immaculate, updated bathroom, quiet and a few blocks from the beach and numerous seafood restaurants. Each room has a frig and microwave plus seats outside on the little porches plus picnic tables. For smokers, outside ashtrays are provided! Walking distance to fishing charter boats… quaint town, hotel and just lovely!

Be very careful when speaking to manager, Andrew. He wouldn’t give his name and had a very defensive demeanor before I even requested assistance. I called about rebooking because my daughter was sick and he said, “So I’m supposed to pay for your daughter being sick,” and hung up on me. Guess the low stars align with the “customer service” or complete lack thereof.

Hi Debra P here from St. Augustine, FL - So sorry I didn't see your question until today. As we were visiting family/friends for a special gathering and we were without a car, we didn't really need to know about Diners or Restaurants....except for the night we arrived - we found out from the Hotel owners that there were several places from which we could order and have our dinner delivered to our room (they were so accommodating in giving us several menus from which to choose!) There are, however, plenty of Restaurants in the immediate area. Hope that helps!

The place is a bit run down so i would imagine pets would be welcome. I didn't see any while visiting. I believe you could find another per friendly motel a bit nicer :)
