I booked a room at this motel because I mistook it for another one that I had stayed in the past with a similar name. Once I realized, it was too late because the room was non-refundable. I proceeded to read the reviews and got really worried because they were pretty bad. But I still take reviews with a grain of salt because motels aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. While I like boujee, I can also do laid back and there is also something nostalgic and familiar about a sea side motel on the the shore. So I took a chance and unfortunately there was nothing nostalgic, or familiar, or by the sea. This place was close to two miles from the beach and boardwalk so it was still not within walking distance on a very hot day. At first glance, the motel looks pleasant enough from the outside because it looked like it had been painted recently. The surrounding area was also very nice with quaint charming homes that were very well maintained. So how bad can their neighbor be, right? Wrong. Thankfully the room itself had no carpet. That was the only silver lining because who knows what could have been living in the carpet. The bathroom was abysmal with weird paper hanging from the shower ceiling and mold on the shower curtain. There were no toiletries which was fine. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was no insulation between the walls and the ceilings so you can hear everyone walking upstairs and next to you. I did a check on the mattress and the sheets and that was where the true horror show unfolded. Looked like a murder scene with every type of body secretion imaginable had stained the mattress. I almost find it offensive that trip advisor has this motel as the very first one listed and would actually advertise trip rewards to book at this property. This place is awful and at $343 a night, a complete rip off! It was my mistake for not reading the reviews beforehand and also not making sure the property was the one that I had stayed in previously. Several motels in Point Pleasant have similar names so don’t make the same mistake that I did and be sure to read the reviews before you book!

Filthy My friend and I were so grossed out by the condition and lack of cleanliness that we left 5 minutes after opening the door. Stains, hair, cobwebs, smell were enough to drive us away. I can’t imagine anyone finding this acceptable. It was 2 am , we were out fishing, and looking forward to some rest, but driving 2 hours back home seemed like a safer option. Disgusting

HORRRRIBLE property, would NOT recommend, had a family vacation (with our 10 year old) and automatically when we got there there was two strange men in the parking lot doing who knows what (drug deal we think). Heard a man hitting his wife two doors away from the front desk (no one called the cops of course). Walked in the room to what looked nice, but then slowly learned it was hell. AC didn't work, bugs all in the bathroom asked for new sheets due to pee stains and the house keeper said "we don't change sheets till about mid may and we don't clean rooms because we aren't too busy so they don't need to be cleaned all the time" so I looked at my husband and said get us a refund now. Got a refund and left. RUN RUN RUN. They tried to make us look at a different room I declined, I was not having my child sleep there for one night. Pathetic place would actually like a number to call to report to the health department we have EVERYTHING on video INCLUDING her admitting They don’t clean the rooms

No service, do you a favor a give you a vacuum if you want to clean your room. Heat is a portable one. No new sheets or fresh towels. The manager, extremely nasty and would only accept cash. A receipt wasn't even legit.

Filthy room. Moldy shower. Broken AC unit. Over priced! Missing door on the bathroom vanity. A total dump! The people were OK. A group of guys were staying above me blasting bad music. I called the office. Then they turned the bad music up! Got in my car and tooka ride. I would never stay there again.

. in a boring nothing town is a depressing disgusting demoralizing dirty dump where insult follows injury and misery is normal, where the worst of degenerate subhuman slime inhabit every room of this snake pit on Bay avenue, complete with disease, drugs, bedbugs, horrific noise and filth of every kind. this property should be condemned and burned down.

Where do I start?! Please do not stay here. Place needs to be condemned. Not fit for humans or animals! I booked through a hotel hotline and this was only available at last minute so I took it. I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED WITH TA FIRST! Drove in and had only 3 cars in lot. Place was empty, now I know why. Office was tiny, smelled of curry and had an Indian gentleman, still don't know his name because when he said it I couldn't understand it. I tried to be optimistic. Got the key to room 1. Suffering heat, smelly, scary I ran out and asked for different room. Room 2. Stifling hot. The AC was turned on and blew warm air with debris coming out. Again, bad odors, moldy, mildew, bugs, filthy. After 4 minutes I had to leave and get fresh air. Honestly, the room wasn't habitable for my 4 year old who suffers highly from these allergies/asthma which he has been hospitalized. I was so emotional upset that I got sick. I checked out immediately! Enough about me. The people who own/run this place do not seem to care or put any effort into this property. Chips, cracks, stains, filth, disrepair. Pool was cloudy with dirt and bugs, unattractive. Sorry I have do not anything positive to say. I am still trying to get my money back. Then I will take it up with their mother company, Best Western and the BBB.

Recently our air conditioning unit broke so we were forced to spend a night somewhere so we could cool off and sleep - well that is the only positive thing I can say about this awful motel - the room was cool temperature-wise - when the night attendant precedes you to the room and proceeds to spray air freshener you should take notice - bathroom had mold, room needs to be painted, no phones in room (so when someone was banging on the door @2 am we were scrambling to find our cell phone to call the desk,) drapery on window was 1/3 way off just hanging there and they charged $120 for this - not a place you want to stay or take a shower

Upon arrival the inn looked like it could be nice. Then you walk into the rooms. I was instantly hit with the smell of mildew and mold. The room was disgustingly dirty. The "kitchen" was a sink, moldy refridgerator, and dirty microwave. The beds were even dingier with burn holes in everything. When we went to take showers the water came out brown, and no matter how long we tried to run it, it stayed brown. The most disturbing part of the stay, was while we checked the rooms for our belongings as we checked out, we noticed all the rat feces under the beds. Spend some extra cash and go elsewhere. This place should be shut down.

This place is so disgusting. I went out and bought a shower liner to put on the bed and New sheets. If I had money I would leave. Blood on the beds walls disgustingly dirty. Stove filthy and microwave gross And broken. Everyone should stay away except board of health.
