We struggled to find a decent hotel near freehold and thought we had finally found one. Nope. On the plus side the lady at the front desk got us wine and beer even though the bar was technically closed as we arrived late. I like courtyard because the sink is separate from for the toilet and shower so someone can great ready as the sync while someone else is taking a shower. The beds were comfortable and the room was dark. It’s also nice to be able to get coffee in the morning at the breakfast bar. On the other side, we were kept up and woken by folks in the hallway, we were opposite the elevator, no king rooms available, the refrigerator made noise all night long, the room was worn and only fairly clean, cheap towels and bed linens, the housekeeping only did a touch up on the room and the lady at the desk barely acknowledged us when we checked in, but then did get us the alcohol. We won’t be back. I was hoping for more from a Marriott courtyard.

Good morning, My sincerest apologies that your stay was not up to Marriott standards. I have reached out to our housekeeping leadership team in regard to the cleanliness of your room. Unfortunately, it is sometimes difficult to control the other guest that are in the hotel. I am very happy to hear that you found the beds comfortable and that you liked the setup of the bathroom. I am also very happy that the front desk assisted you when the bar area was closed. Thank you, Rene

Pleasantly surprised! Staff was super friendly and helpful when I used the app to chat about requests pre-check in. Got my key, room assignment, and directions to my room on the app. Was thrilled to find my requests fulfilled in a clean & updated room. Bathroom has newer fixtures and glass shower door. If there is anything at all on the cons, it would be the price of items in their sundry shop - and there is no store or market nearby. However, I would still choose to stay there again for sure!

Location is good and at a way more affordable price then hotels near the beach. Staff was helpful and very nice. However, there’s a few things that could be tweaked to make this place better. 1: please invest in new pillows those were by far the worst pillows in the world! Lol and I literally travel the world. 2: the coffee/bistro bar really needs better hours there should be someone at that desk always considering there isn’t too many convenient food/drink options near by. 3: I know the hotel is dog friendly but the wet dog stench mixed with old cigarettes was gross! Frequent Air fresheners and carpet cleanings are a suggestion. Other than then it was ok for a quick trip only.

We really appreciate your feedback & taking the time out of your busy day. We do provide foam pillows upon request. Our pillows are feather but always happy to provide foam pillows if that is your preference. The front desk would be happy to help you find dining/coffee options in the area. I have passed on the concern about the dog scents to our housekeeping team to be cognizant of this. Thank you for your comments!

We stayed at this hotel last Friday for a 5k race in the area. Check in was easy and the woman at the desk was helpful with helping us find a restaurant in the area for dinner. We entered our room and the room next to us was blaring their music and it sounded like they had several people in the room partying. My mom who was with us wanted to complain but I commented how it was still early and hopefully they would turn it down after we get back from dinner. Fast forward to after dinner, the room next to us was quiet and we thought we were in the clear. Then at 2:30am the music start blaring very loud and the walls were vibrating. Sounded like they were having a party with people loudly singing. We called the front desk and someone came up within 10 minutes to tell them to turn it down. The party lowered the music but it was still rather loud as the hotel walls seem so thin and you can hear just about everything in the neighboring rooms. They continued to talk very loud and sing as my daughter who had a race the next morning tried to sleep. To top it off our toilet wasn’t working and we went downstairs to let the staff know but they didn’t seem to care. No one offered to fix it and we just decided it was easier to use the bathroom in the lobby rather than arguing with the person behind the desk. We should have asked to have our room changed but by the time we realized it wasn’t working it was very late and we just thought it was easier to stay put rather than move all our belongings. This coming weekend, we are planning another visit to the area and it’s a shame we can’t stay at this hotel because it is very close to our venue. I guess we will have to look for another hotel in the area!

I understand it is the height of "beach season", but I was not expecting close to $300 a night. The front desk staff were nice and gracious and check in was effortless. However my room key did not work and housekeeping had to open my door.
The rooms are spacious, clean and modern.
Many people take their towels and put them over the railing (beach towels)
This actually makes the hotel look really tacky. Most hotels that I have visited, do not allow this practice. Upon ck in I was told about breakfast being served from 7 or so in the lobby. Note: breakfast is NOT free, you even have to pay for coffee! When I inquired about this I was told this was due to "Covid". I have been to many many Marriotts and even if the breakfast is really basic, I have never had to pay.
On the plus side, this is a great location right outside of Red Bank and close to the GSP. On thr first floor, there are little patios where you can sit outside your room in comfy chairs. The beds are comfortable and as always, the pillows and sheets are the Marriott standard of comfort. The property is relatively quiet. Overall, it was ok. I have been to Marriotts all over the world. The major downfall was : nobody was wearing masks, I had just been to another Marriott and everyone had a mask on.. staff, housekeeping. If you stopped serving free breakfast due to covid, wouldn't it make sense for staff and guests to wear masks??
I have been to worse and I have been to much better.

Good evening, I am happy to hear that your check in was effortless and that the staff were nice and gracious. Our sincere apologies for the things that you found not to your liking including the tacky effect of the towels hanging over the balconies. We will discuss with our team members how we can solve that situation. The CDC and Marriott have issued specific guidelines on the wearing of masks and those are the guidelines that we are following. We do hope that when you travel again to the are you will choose Marriott for your travel needs. Thank you, The Management Team

My husband and I stayed here three nights in early June due to a funeral for a family member. I requested the top floor and back of the hotel since we are very light sleepers.

We were greeted by Kate when we arrived and she made us feel like family. Our request for the room was granted and we had a nice king room which was very quiet. Even though we had guests nearby, we didn't hear any noise.

The hotel was recently renovated and we liked the new color scheme, furniture throughout the hotel and in the room. Everything was clean, and all staff members wore face masks.

Due to COVID, they offered free coffee/tea/muffins/cinnamon buns/cereal/bottled water/snack bars/etc. to get your day started.

We had an issue with our door and the maintenance man arrived within minutes. I forgot his name (sorry) but the issue was resolved right away. It was a different type of lock that we weren't used to.

During our stay, we spoke to Kate, Barbara Shannon as well as the maintenance man. They were very sincere when they found out that my mom passed away. Whenever they saw us, they took time to ask how we were doing and if there was anything they can do.

We greatly appreciate the kindness, especially during a difficult time.

Thanks to them, we will be back in the future when we travel to NJ again.

Essentially We were attending a wedding for which this Hotel was pre-booked in a very large block. We booked approximately 2 months ago 2 rooms. We requested adjacent rooms so that we could attend our granddaughter. We arrived here and only 1/2 Rooms was ready. We arrived early as did many of the invited guests. After waiting over 2 hours our room was finally ready. The management there were rude as was the check in staff. Amazingly many of the other guests got their rooms but we didn’t and no in really paid any attention to having our room cleaned earlier. Worst experience in any of our travels. Hospitality is definitely absent. We are truly sad at the treatment we received. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel for politeness or expediency.

Good evening, My apologies that you found the management team and the front desk associates to be rude. We pride ourselves on our customer service her at the Lincroft Courtyard as is evident from our scores. We have a very limited amount of rooms that connect and when you need any early check in this makes it even harder for us to accommodate you as we have to wait for the previous guest to check out. Early check in and connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed however we do as much as we can to accommodate all of guests. Thank you

Stayed at this Marriott over the weekend for a local wedding. Room was what we expected. However, Saturday after midnight, the room across the hall had guests constantly entering and leaving until well after 2:00 pm! Knocking on their room door to gain entrance continued for over two hours!! Personally, I do not feel they have the necessary security at their side and rear entrances.
We just cancelled future bookings we had at this Marriott for another hotel in Red Bank.
We don’t plan on staying here again!

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am sorry that things were not up to your liking in the room. We do have a houseperson every evening making rounds throughout the hotel. Also, we have him do this to check on noise complaints as well if they should occur. Please in the future call our front desk that is manned 24 hours a day with any concerns you may have. As with many Marriott properties, this example has been updated and refreshed. Everything I need for a business trip is here including The Bistro where I can choose healthy meals ( or not :) . Also as is true with every Marriott property I have visited around the country, the staff is professional and very pleasant. The consistency of customer service is remarkable.

My wife and I traveled to Red Bank to visit our daughter and stayed at the Red Bank Courtyard. While it is under construction, we had a very pleasant stay, and were upgraded to a suite. The best part of the visit was the front desk associate, Kate. She was very helpful in allowing us to checkout late, because of trip to the beach, and located my misplaced cell phone when I inadvertently left it lay while checking out. We will definitely stay here again while in Red Bank.
