I enjoyed my stay at the Skylands a couple of week's ago. I took my boyfriend for a little overnight retreat for his birthday. We had a beautiful picnic lunch in the botanical gardens. It was like we had the place to ourselves. We stayed in the knights quarters. Very nice. Not fancy but stately and old worldish. The bathroom... More

My daughter and son-in-law had their reception at the Castle on May 28, 2016. It was perfect for our daughter and her husband. Erin truly was a princess on her special day!!!! Linda, the Castle's wedding coordinator went above and beyond to ensure that everything was just right. The venue was exceptional. The gardens were magnificent and a perfect backdrop... More

This is not your usual hotel. Feels more like visiting a friend's home, especially off season. Feels like having your own estate to explore. It is not perfect, and the building itself needs some repairs, but that makes it more interesting. The bones and trims of this castle are top notch. They encourage you to explore the castle, which makes... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Skylands Manor a couple of weeks ago and we loved it. Everything about the place was absolutely stunning. We stayed on a Sunday evening and their were no other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves. Our Innkeeper Margie was so sweet and accommodating. Since we were her only guests that night... Pulling up to this castle at night was very cool; it reminded me of Wanyne manor from Batman. The innkeeper, Sandy, was very pleasant even though we were a 1am check-in. Our room was the $100/night variety; it has a small TV w/ five channels and no wifi. so don't expect grandeur, at least at this price point. Breakfast consisted... More

Hauntingly beautiful castle, up on top of the mountain past the two stoned Eagles. Red carpeting, wood paneled ceilings, stone fireplaces, large comfy bed in a room with high ceilings with gold-leaf, chandelier, spiraling staircase, huge vaults at bottom of the stairs, and stained-glass windows are just some of the treats at this one-of-a-kind retreat that's a true gem for... My mother and I stayed for a couple of days at this beautiful Manor House Bed and Breakfast. It is visually lovely, both inside and out. The Manor is right by a garden, a big garden, so you can cross the street and be there. The grounds are very pleasant. In fact, everything about this place is wonderful. Each room... More

This 1922 castle provides great lodging in a beautiful mountain environment. It is New Jersey's only castle hotel and being close to NYC it offers a wonderful escape. The building is gorgeous with comfortable and nicely-decorated rooms, The breakfast was modest and other accommodations limited.

I was VERY scared about staying here ... and not because it's kind of a creepy old castle at night ... but because of some of the other reviews I have read. I am pleased to say that I am glad that some of the other reviews didn't scare me off. This is an old English Tudor Manor style castle.... More

We stayed here for a wedding so it was fun to be staying at the reception hall with the other guests, but this is probably not a place I'd recommend staying if it wasn't for a wedding. They put on a FANTASTIC wedding though and for anyone reading this considering putting on a wedding here, you definitely should. The outside... More
