My family stayed at this property for 3 days to visit the beach. For that purpose it's pretty great. 1 block away and about 5 minutes of walking straight to the water! They provided us with beach passes so that we didn't have to pay. It has an outdoor shower in the back to rinse off (which we missed on the 1st day) so you don't track sand into the room. The fully stocked kitchen was great for making a quick meal without having to go out.
The biggest downside is that it feels a bit run down. e.g. stains on the wallpaper. The building is over 100 years old so there's only so much you can do but there's definitely a mismatch between the fully renovated bathroom (which was super nice) and the rest of the room.

We stayed we our grandchildren in Ridgewood House's 4-bedroom suite in April 2024. The common areas were exceptionally clean, the house was convenient for beach access, had beautiful ocean views, comfortable furnishings and beds with crisp white linens. The kitchen, while small, was well equipped and just right for preparing breakfast and snacks. The owners were very responsive and pleasant and we would be be happy to return.

Can you get a better view? NO YOU CAN NOT! Apparently it’s under renovations with a new owner right now but I’ll be the first to get in because it could only get better!
There are various types of rooms and I believe most are seasonal but I was told there might be a back house available for this summer of 2020.
