We stayed here for four nights, while visiting the area for our nephew's 50th birthday celebration (this location being only about 2 blocks from his home).
The facility has an old-school, well-maintained, local motel ambiance.
Our unit (#53, located in the section a short distance from the main complex); was clean, compact and comfortable. Its location also allowed for fairly easy loading/unloading of our luggage.
Note: if one has mobility issues, as we do; upper floor rooms require the climbing of stairs.
The father/son duo running the operation were friendly and accommodating.
Being ole fartz, we appreciate that effort is taken in directing the establishment to a more family oriented, less rowdy uber-partying clientele.
All and all; a solid option, if one is seeking clean and comfortable accommodations in the area.

First time at the sunburst. The pool was closed for maintenance but just for a few days & the room initially smelled like smoke. But what a surprise this family owned motel went above & beyond to make us happy. The father moved us to another room the next day. The rooms are very clean & although a little dated were well taken care of. The cleaning staff def does thier job & the motel owners seem to just want to make customer happy We will def b back Minutes to walk to beach & boardwalk. A def family stay We will b back.

Cleanest Motel in Seaside NJ !!! Prime location and amazing owners. Father and Son run this adorable motel. They have multiple room rental options, some with kitchenettes and separate living room areas. They are very nice people and very professional. They run a very tight ship and are extremely accommodating. You will not regret your decision in choosing this location! You and your kids will feel very comfortable here.

Wonderful hosts, super clean facilities at the Sunburst II. My relatives hold a family reunion here yearly, but this was my first chance to attend...we occupied every room, but one. BBQ grills to use, kitchenettes, and anything we needed was there.

I have to say this has been an amazing hospitality experience I've ever had! The staff is just wonderful, such a well put family oriented motel to stay if you're coming to Seaside Heights! Came to Seaside the beginning of August and went to another motel that was DISGUSTING! Thank goodness after looking at so many motels, this one was the place to be. The rooms are very clean, smells really good and the prices a night are worth the stay (sometimes the do deals). The pool gets cleaned every night and is heated! You can grill whenever you want (just supply your own food). I will be coming here every time I visit Seaside, 1000% recommend!

We mistakenly booked an overnight stay at an inn down the road. The conditions there were horrendous so we went in search of a reputable hotel. Stumbled upon the Sunburst and what a happy accident. Butch at the front desk was so kind, and even gave us a discounted rate on our room because of our terrible experience elsewhere.
The accommodations were stellar and my family and I are already talking about going back.
Mr. Fisher was a pleasant welcome as well!

We loved the hospitality at this hotel! From the initial direct booking via phone, the early check in, and throughout our two night stay, the two gentlemen that assisted us were professional, kind and courteous. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Pool was fun. Perfect location in Seaside. Walkable to everything, including Acme supermarket! Always felt safe. Glad we finally found a hotel is Seaside where we can't wait to return. Thanks Sunburst.

This is the Best hotel in Seaside! My family has a reunion every year and Butch never disappoints us. The rooms are clean,air conditioner works great and staff are always about to help you out. If something is lacking, they are very eager to fix it to make your stay enjoyable.

We had a great experience here. The location is amazing and the rooms were clean (which is really all I need). But on top of that, the owner Butch is a delight. He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time in seaside heights. He truly made up for a poor experience we had at a different motel earlier in the day. Mr. Fisher also provided excellent customer service in exchange for tummy rubs (he is a very mellow friendly dog). If I ever stay in seaside heights again it will be at the sunburst.
My only small complaint is that the rooms are a little outdated, I have no issue with that, but if your looking for a place that looks modern, this isn't it.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and accommodations of our stay here. The young fella at the counter was friendly and “real.” There was a nice black labrador dog in the office too. I liked him a lot. We would definitely stay again …may God bless everyone
