Love the ocean front view. Don't know of another hotel on LBI that offers that. You only get it from the 2/3 floors of the oceanfront building so don't get the first floor there. You will just dunes. Steps from the beach. Convenient assigned parking. Ice available. Only negative is they say not to use it for your cooler. Really???...

Just spent 4 days at the Drifting Sands Motel and it was very pleasant. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were ready as soon as we arrived at around 2:00 which was great. They don't have a pool, but we didn't mind because when we go to the shore we only want the beach...

My husband and I typically enjoy an oceanfront hotel or motel in Montauk Point but this year, we bit the bullet and gave our Jersey Shore a chance. I booked a room on the third floor of the oceanfront unit not thinking about having to climb up 3 flights of stairs with all our stuff; there are no elevators in...

Do not be fooled by the "motel" in the name. Very clean and friendly. Love going here. Been there twice now and can't wait to go back. The rooms are generous. Many have a view. Stayed in Oceanside, had a balcony and a king size bed. The beds are a little hard, but otherwise, all good. Microwave, coffee pot and...

I stayed at the motel for two nights for my daughter's dance competition. It is a motel but it has a beautiful view of the beach. The room was clean and adequate but it has no frills. The front desk staff was helpful with dining recommendations. Bagels were provided for breakfast from 8-12. The only issue we had were how...

It's been many years since I have been to the NJ shore but we went here for a wedding this year. The hotel (and I use that term loosely) is just a bunch of small rooms with misty smells and old furnishings. The room was noisy -- the person above us stomped around the room until 1:00 am and then...

My wife and I attended a wedding in Long Beach Island and stayed at Drifting Sands Motel. Check in was simple (you actually get a real key, not a key card) and the ladies at the front desk were very nice. The room was spacious, very clean and up to date. There was a small balcony with a view of...

We stayed at the Drifting Sands this past weekend for an off-season getaway. Our oceanfront room had an amazing view from our second floor balcony. The room was clean, large and offered everything we expected. Step outside the property and sink your feet in the surrounding sand. We would recommend it highly.

Stayed at the Drifting Sands Motel for Valentines weekend. The ocean view from the second floor was gorgeous and inviting even though it was winter. The room was clean and comfortable. The heating system was clunky and noisy and disrupted my sleep, but I am used to my house being completely silent at night. There is a 7 eleven mart...
