Detailed Reviews
In town for a few days for a wedding last weekend. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. If you like to sleep in, past sun up, then this is not the place for you. If you're like me and need total darkness to sleep ( I do the 'hand in front of my face' thing. If I can see my hand, then it's too light in the room), then bring one of those sleep masks with you. The room darkening curtains come up about 3 inches too short, so as soon as the sun rises, so do you. The bathtub drain was partially clogged so as we showered we were ankle deep in water. Then after the shower we dried ourselves with the oldest, scratchiest towels ever. Don't rub too hard, you'll peel off skin. No kidding. The sink counter was too small for 2 people's toiletries. A small shelf should've been installed on the wall over the blow dryer (which did not blow 'hot' when you put it on high. It reminded me of my 1st blower I ever had back in the 70s, a Schick, like 300 watts). So if you are pressed for time to go out, take into consideration the extra 10 minutes you'll need to dry your hair. Oh, and there's NO phone in the room. I guess Days assumes everyone has a smart phone in 2021. I don't. The internet service was the worse. On my I-pad for 10 minutes and then 'no service'. Happened ALL weekend. Very erratic. Only light switch on the wall is the one when you 1st enter the room. The bedside lamps, desk lamp and floor lamps all had to be turned with the switch on the lamps which kind of annoyed me too. Maybe I'm just a cranky old man but I didn't get much sleep all weekend. Next time, Howard Johnson's on Hooper, less than a mile away.

First off if my business wasn’t paying for this place I would never have booked it is normally is pretty pricy for what they offer. I will break down the goods and bads from the beginning of my stay so far and may edit pending how the rest goes. They did let me check in early so that was nice and they are friendly at the front desk. For me and I he stuff I saw was it was very clean so me the people and staff so far are 10 out of 10. It says that there is breakfast buffet style on the amenities so I thought it was going to be the standard continental breakfast but the only free breakfast portion was the coffee. When I got there the restaurant wasn’t offering lunch or dinner until Friday and then through Sunday so if you don’t have the best transportation then it is door dash time which you get free delivery to the hotel. However I was really looking forward to checking out the bar which was closed. In addition the pool was closed for maintenance it looked like from the door that they were fixing the chemical balance and stuff that is what at least it appeared. My room was clean but had no ac so in my room it only has a fan setting and so the thermostat says 65 for the wanted temp which is the lowest it goes but in my room on the display sayer it was 83 I was setting so bad. Also their gym is less than sufficient it has weight that go to 25 and has two treadmills 10 lb medicine balls an elliptical and a bike I get it it is a small room for the fitness center but come on expand or do something. Idk so far the overall the experience has been a little less than meh. It is close to the boardwalk and so location is nice but the hotel is super overpriced and I am glad I am not the one footing the bill to say the least, because if I was the three star rating would probably be a two star.

I was traveling with my five kids and reserved two rooms. we wanted a well-known hotel brand close to the shore. this was ten minutes away right on the highway. There were a lot of places to eat and shop within a mile on the same highway too.
No hotel could guarantee the rooms would be adjoining which is important when traveling with all my kids. SELENA AND BARBARA went above and beyond to find adjoining rooms for me when availability was difficult during the holiday weekend. So amazing and helpful. They were extremely pleasant and friendly and spent a lot of time working this out for us. Even after we checked in when my kids and I kept coming to them repeatedly for our needs. they always had a smile and a friendly word. I tried very hard to tip them but they insistently refused and asked that we just enjoy the stay!
The hotel was clean, the house staff was helpful and accommodating. all the extra towels we needed between showers and pool time were promptly brought right to our door.
The pool was great too, and clean. it opened nice and early at 8am so we got to take a swim before checkout. chlorine level did not hurt our eyes either as with other places we have visited.
Days Hotel may not be intended to be a luxury brand but the accommodations were on par with all the best brands and we felt like VIPS when we stayed there because of Selena and Barbara.

NEVER go here with a group or if you need any kind of special accommodation. If you need your room cleaned, need a specific type of room, or want access to drink/food vending machines, this place isn’t for you. I gave 2 stars bc the hotel itself was cosmetically nice and the beds were comfortable. Customer Service was present, but not helpful.
When booking a block, I would talk to one person, get it all set, then call back and no one could find my room block reservation. Parents would call to book rooms and would be told there as no block under our name. I had to call back at least 3 times, it was awful and embarrassing as a coordinator.
As a softball coach, I needed an adjoining room for kids whose parents couldn’t attend the tournament. Booked the adjoining room a couple months a prior, was told we would have the room.
Drove 5 hours, got to the hotel, was told we were not given an adjoining room despite being promised and that our 2 rooms were down the hall from each other. We were told there were only 4 sets of adjoining rooms and the hotel was full. There was absolutely zero effort from the front desk staff to try to rectify the situation despite being told we wanted to be close for the safety of our kids.
We ended up getting a room with an adjoining door, but not given the room it leads to. Another person on our team ended up getting a room with an adjoining door and a teammate next door. The rooms next to us, right next door, were people from our party. The people across the hall were people from our party. Would have been nice to at least have a room in close proximity considering we had an abundance of kids with us.
We asked the front desk if we could get the sheets changed in our room, we were met with a “maybe, I don’t know” from the front desk, zero help. They changed one set of sheets and left the other a mess.
TLDR: Go somewhere else.

Be aware, first of all, that this is tricky to get to. If you're approaching from the west, it takes a U-turn and you can't actually get in from Highway 37; the hotel is approached from a cross street to the west.
Room was on 3rd floor, and was quiet, with a good bed. Ice machine didn't work, but when I went down to the first floor (sign there pointed to ice and vending - vending, but no ice machine) the nice guy at the front desk went in the back and brought out my ice bucket filled to the brim. Points for that.
Yes, good sized rooms, and it was quiet during my stay. A leak from the bathroom ceiling (I was on the top floor) dribbled onto the top of the toilet, and it looked like it wasn't the first time, to judge by the ceiling. But not a deal breaker, especially since I was staying on points. Restaurant is not open, and there was no breakfast, although a sign posted a brief menu and their costs.
This is not a fancy place, but it's functional. The rates have to do with its proximity to the ocean and related attractions. I'd stay again - but only on points.

All in all our wedding night was great thanks to Erik, however I would not recommend having a wedding here if you have to deal with the Allison’s planning and scheduling it. They will tell you what you want to here to make you not worry and then when it comes down to it lie cuz they only care about the money. We tried multiple times to lower our guest count due to people canceling from covid, we called starting from November and we’re told we were already lowered to the minimum number of people. Come to find out that was a lie we were set at 125 and were told that was the minimum for a Sunday night wedding, however after I did some looking I found the page and the minimum was actually 100. And then she told us kids were included in our 125 count so we added added them into our count and she told us she would see what she could get back for the difference in price after the fact. And then after I tried calling back she changed her story and said oh no your contact says 125 and that means adults so there’s nothing we can do now. So I ended up having to pay full adult prices for 7 kids and a 1year old to eat chicken nuggets and French fries. And then they told us the top tier of the wedding cake is part of the guest count and that we don’t get that back and that we can contact Chocolate carousel around our one year for them to make us a great cake which we already paid an extra $180 for the cake because the flavor was apparently not included. But now we have to pay $28 for that too because our cake flavor wasn’t included. And we had to change our stations because when we originally signed on with Heidi She gave us the packet for her main ballroom at that time and while the prices were the same apparently this ballroom didn’t include some of the same things they did. We loved Erik he was so helpful with everything and made sure to keep everything moving but I would not recommend working with the Allison’s and if you do make sure you have everything written and signed in a contract for your own records so you don’t get ripped off like we did.

Again, we sincerely apologize if there was any confusion surrounding this. We're glad you enjoyed working with Erik the day of your wedding, and we wish you the very best in your lives together.

We checked in late at night after an 8 hour drive or we would have checked out immediately. We had a night of little sleep here. The rooms have only a thin blanket on the bed - no quilt or any spare comforter. The hallways and stairs were disgusting with litter and dirt several weeks (months?) old. The sounds from the other rooms included a man screaming obscenities at a woman and extremely loud TVs. This was even more of a concern because our door to the outside patio had a very flimsy lock on it and the bolt on the door to the hallway did not work. The only toiletries in the room were a wrapped quarter piece of soap and a half filled tube of shampoo (previously used by someone else?). The beds were bug free but all other furniture in the room had questionable stains on them, so we did not sit anywhere else. We signed a no smoking policy upon check in but the hallways smelled of pot. Our interaction with other guests at the hotel confirmed that it is being used as a welfare hotel with monthly rates - and even the welfare guests are being taken advantage of. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this place.

I am not a fan of this hotel chain and did not have a good experience a few years back. We had to return as it was the closest hotel for a work function and glad to have given it another chance. They clearly made room renovations and their housekeeping did a great job on a daily basis. It's not a high end hotel, but comfortable, clean, and spacious. We were there during the off season so I can't speak if this will be maintained during the summer time. The location was accessible to a lot of food and shopping options. Driving into Seaside Heights was under 15 minutes.

The internet is terrible. Parking is not great if there is an event and the breakfast is not worth the price.
They need to address these issues. Also you must use a credit card to check in and pay. You cannot use cash. This is an issue for those who don't use credit cards like me.

The hotel and room were clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, The ceiling height in the hallway and bathroom was barely 7 feet and the light fixture in the bathroom was just 6’3”off the floor. I am that tall so I had to be careful which made me uncomfortable. As far as the tub and shower, the floor of the tub was slippery and made me feel the need to always hold the grab handle. The shower head was so low that I had to duck to wash my hair and face. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable

Hi Christi, Yes! The Days Hotel Toms River has a beautiful outdoor patio with comfortable furniture. Please contact us at your convenience to make reservations. Thanks!
Hi Patty, Thanks for your question. There is another Days Inn property located two blocks from the Seaside Heights Boardwalk. Our hotel, Days Hotel Toms River, is located just over the bridge, and we are about a 10 minute drive to the boardwalk.
We are located about 10 minutes (6 miles) from Seaside Heights Boardwalk and beach. We would not recommend walking and shuttle service from the hotel is not provided, but Uber and Lyft have been popular ways that our guests travel to and from local attractions in the area. There is plenty of beach parking, but as another traveler noted, it is paid parking. If you have any further questions about the hotel or the area, feel free to contact us at 732-244-4000. Thanks!
