Not upscale but ok for 1 night. You get what you pay….Breakfast was disappointing but we were just looking for a decent cup of coffee ( it was cold). IHOP is next door….id go there if I had the time. The room was clean, bed was decent. The shower could use a new shower head or handheld wand. Could use a makeup mirror in room hard to work in the bathroom especially since the door was not able to be opened all the way because it dragged on the floor.

The front desk staff was very accommodating and nice. The hotel room was very old (because we were in the non-remodeled part), had 12x12 tile on the floors and halfway up the walls of the room and bathroom. Our one mattress was softer than the other and the pillows (2 for each bed) left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, a room for 2 adults included 3 towels, no hand towels, and one face cloth. The towels were very thin and did not take the water off your skin. When asked for more, I got a bathmat and another wafer thin towel. Finally got another towel and 2 face cloths on Friday. And then they charge an additional $50 per night/per dog when the rooms are outdated.

It was ok for the price I think they just have to work on better cleaning maybe fix a few things that needs repair. The ac in my room was falling apart but at least it work so we slept comfortably. My parents room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. But unfortunately that is the guest fault for not respecting the rules.

I had the worst experience staying at this hotel on 7/11/23. I called in advance at 7am the day of check in & asked if I could be put in an area that would be as quiet as possible so I could get some good sleep. The receptionist told me that could not be done because they had not assigned rooms. I checked in the same day & reminded the receptionist I wanted the quietest room to sleep in yet again. She said she’d put me on the second floor in room 232. The next day at 630 AM I was awakened to being in the middle of multiple rooms reserved for a Bar Mitzvah of children running, screaming and calling the room by phone until 9am. At 820 am I begged the same reception to cancel my second day & refund me which she said she would not especially because I booked through Expedia. I asked for the manager named JAWAL and was told he was on vacation. After that my trip was ruined and obviously I would never go back. Now remember it’s not the patrons fault it’s the hotel management’s. They could have easily avoided this by thinking just a little bit in advance when ‘blocking the rooms’ . Oh also note: they had full on maintenance creeping around painting the balconies outside all rooms at peak season. Attention maintenance make sure you don’t make fixing the leaky shower faucet causing mold damage and funk on the bathroom floor, just paint the balcony so it looks good on the outside. You could not access your own balcony . Great property management (sarcasm).

Don't stay here. The facility is DIRTY. The rooms smell of cigarettes and the hallway of marijuana. I think people are living in the hotel. The grounds are dirty with garbage throughout. The glass doors are in need of a desperate Windexing. You would think vacuuming and cleaning the glass doors would be done on a daily basis.

What more can I say that already hasn't been said? Room smells, laid towels on floor to walk around as afraid I'd catch something.... Pool is nasty nasty dirty. Help not very nice. Sliding door to balcony busted like someone broke in. Glad I was on 2nd floor.
Thermostat fell out of wall when trying to turn on AC as room was hot, musty, muggy, odorous. Appeared to have been put back numerous times before I got there.
Vending machines empty. No bottled water provided or even available to make coffee with....use their brown tap water???? Yes, the tap and toilet water was brownish. I showered elsewhere. Went shopping to buy water.
TV mounted cockeyed, remote didn't work for volume.
The wifi worked. They did have a small breakfast bar that was ok.

I really wanted to believe the poor reviews of this hotel were wrong since is was one of the few hotels to have a indoor pool which was a must for our kids. Our son plays travel hockey and had a game nearby, and that's what brought us here.
Cons: This hotel was very smokey! People were openly smoking in the hallway. As another review had mentioned, there were homeless people walking the hallways! A man was knocking on our door at 2:30am. I opened our door and the man said "oh, sorry wrong room"!!!. The floor had dog hair covering it that we saw the next morning when the sun was shining on the floor (we didn't bring a pet.) The hotel lost power, and it was 66 degrees in our room. The bathroom was so nasty. The shower faucet leaked a constant stream, and the bathtub was stained (see pictures) and had cigarette burns. You can hear neighbors talking & TV when trying to sleep. The bed frames are aluminum panels that are SO noisy if you accidentally knock it with your foot as you get into bed in the middle of the night, and when you turn in bed. It was very strange choice of bed frame! Only had coffee in lobby. They no longer offer anything for breakfast, but the Toms River diner was great. There was a man swimming in his underwear with his daughter that was swimming in her fleece nightgown. No towels in pool area. The front desk girl was not welcoming and seemed miserable. She was there in the evening when we checked in, and the following morning when we checked out. She never asked how our stay was, and no mention or apology for the loss of power we experienced that morning. I got a text to select a text a time we wanted to check out. 11am was the latest option listed, even though check-out time is 12pm, so I responded to text asking this, and they didn't respond until the following day once we were home!
Pros: Has a pool (pool area needs a face-lift) Nice outdoor patio area Has an attached restuarant that was good. But expensive for bar food. (Spent $80 on dinnr) Room was large with high ceilings. Balcony was nice to get fresh air since the room was smoky, and let in a lot of natural light.

To start with upon arriving late in evening, once checked in (for less than angry. Best part was the front desk who was very nice and understanding. We were forced to leave due to the terrible conditions, room was disgusting the size of a postage stamp with a king bed. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel safe righ away, security door broker, ladder leaning against second floor, the outside disgusting. All in the span of 30 minutes, we requested a refund immediately. The very nice front desk employee did say it would be refunded, the Manager refuses to answer the phone and has denied a full refund. Insists he can keep one night. So unprofessional, in the service industry it would seem that the owner would be at least minimally professional. Maybe he smoked some all the weed wafting throughout the hotel. read all reviews before considering giving this pace a try.

The front desk was polite and professional. The lobby was clean. The property had some scattered trash but not a lot.
That’s it for the positive. I would have asked for a different room but we were too tired from the drive and I’ve stayed in worse Room smelled like stale smoke. There were cigarette burns on the bathtub directly in front of the toilet. Furniture was peeling. Wall paint was peeling in places. A roach crawled up the wall. The carpet in the stairwell was littered with debris.
The bed was 5 out of 10. Worn out sheets with old stains. Flat pillows.
I’d probably stay there again, but for half the price. I would not stay there again for the price we paid.

Dirty, paint pealing, broken toilet, no housekeeping services, dirty floor, no hair dryer in room. Bed sheets did not feel clean. Dogs barking from other rooms. I asked for an extra shampoo bottle cause the one that was given was so small and I was there for three days, but none was given.
