We have replaced our guest room furniture & bedding in every room including beds, bed covering, linens, pillows, blankets, etc. We have flat screen televisions in all guest rooms and recently added 14 new HD TV channels to the programming. All of our guest rooms include a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. We recently added a new exercise room, and expanded our business center. We feature meeting rooms and two ballrooms for all of your banquet needs. The staff was extremely accommodating and allowed our high school student musicians practice their performance before a regional competition. The staff cleared out a banquet room to give us plenty of space. Accommodations were great and the breakfast buffet was top notch. Lots of happy students, parents and instructors. Thanks Clarion!

Stayed here for 4 days during the 4th of July holiday and was very happy w/ the large king bed room, w/ the newly installed wood tiled floors, couch and table the reservation came w/ especially since it was on the first floor overlooking the pool. There was one room better that also had a jacuzzi tub next to the bed but that was an additional $100 over the already high rates for the holiday weekend so I decided to wait till the next time to take advantage of it.
Due to the holiday rush it was hard to get the room at last minute w/ discount pricing but a call to the front desk and their suggestion to join the clarion rewards club along w/ my AAA membership not only gave me a similar rate but also the availability of the Friday prior since the other sites had run out of those rooms. Also it was the #1 rated hotel on Trip Advisor for the Tom's River area even though it was 15 to 25 minutes drive to the boardwalk or beach depending on which beach you chose to use. Either of which was much better than getting overcharged to be next to the beach w/ much less facilities and comforts to offer. When I decided to stay an extra day before I could even find a better rate online before the 12pm deadline the management called to confirm my checkout and automatically offered a lower rate that anything online so I took the deal and happily stayed.
The Hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
It seemed to have the feeling of a nice business traveler or local event type of hotel where you could rent out a banquet room for dinner and dancing. It did have a separate bar and restaurant but I only ate the basic buffet breakfast they served there for an extra $8+ and didn't have any other food or stay at the bar. It seemed more fun to go to the many other nearby local choices or head to the boardwalk area instead.
The outdoor pool was perfect for the hot weather and an Olympic size, much larger compared to the normal business hotels I stay at w/ the tiny indoor ones. When the days got too busy to make it to the beach or after on days we did the pool was perfect.
I really liked the look and feel of the place and will be returning looking forward to coming back after the holiday and getting the better rates. Well Done Clarion!!!

We stayed here for one night and had no problems whatsoever. Our spacious room, 110, had two queen beds and was clean and quiet. We liked the wood flooring in the room instead of carpeting; there was also a fridge and a microwave that we didn't use. The huge bathroom counter had lots of space for toiletries, and the tub had grab bars and a non-skid surface, always welcome. There were nice, thirsty white towels, too. The beds were comfortable and each had four pillows. We had dinner at Ike's Pub while watching some baseball, and the server, Carly, was very friendly. The breakfast buffet does cost 8.50 per person, but is pretty generous, with lots of choices. Overall a solid stay in Toms River.

I have attended four functions here over the last 15 years. The banquet food and service is good. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is 6 out of 10. The club is very active, and we appreciated the ability to take our drinks out into the lobby for quieter conversation. This last time, checkin was a bit clunky and the front desk personnel were detached but I understand there is a labor shortage and I appreciate that people come to work.
Here's the problem: Despite the photos on the website, integral parts of this hotel are still living in the 80s. My room did not look like the photos on the website which are mostly suites. The banquet rooms, the room hallways and the bar area are brown and drab and actually depressing. Go to their website and just look at the bar chairs and the banquet rooms. There is no excuse for this when, for some unknown reason, they are the only convention center in Toms River and have to be able to afford upgrades. I will only stay here when I have to.

We had a comfortable stay here with a few issues. The room was quiet and bed comfortable. General appearance is what you would expect for mid range hotel. Desk personnel were nice. The hotel is set back off Highway 37 and a bit difficult to drive into especially going westbound. The elevator going up 2nd floor did not work, just down, problem with the inside elevator floor button. We reported it and was told they checked it, but problem persisted. Another guest said they complained also. Room generally clean, but found food crumbs under the coffee table. Sink drained very slowly. Bathroom door latch damaged and barely held. No breakfast included. Full buffet was offered for 8.50 per person, but we did not purchase. Room was priced high especially without breakfast, but mid range options in this area are limited. Otherwise, it was a comfortable bed and stay.

Recently stayed at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center and felt compelled to share my poor experience with the hotel and the customer service team at corporate Choice Hotels.
The condition of room 205 was unacceptable. The wallpaper was literally rolling off the wall and peeling throughout. Mold on the drapery over the A/C unit. Sofa was worn and something you didnt want to try to sit on. For $150/night it was unacceptable. Immediately after our stay we contacted Choice Hotels (grdesk@choicehotels.com) to make them aware of our experience and requested they reduce our bill to an amount they thought the room warranted.
To our surprise, they would not but offered 8,000 points. Hardly reasonable as we learned that 5,000 points is valued at approx $10. Later, when we did not accept and pushed back.. they increased to 16,000... again, an insult. Finally, after informing them we would be posting this experience on review sites, they offered 25,000 points. Again, a $50 credit against a $300 bill for a room with peeling wallpaper and mold is hardly worth it so we declined and are now sharing this experience.
I will say, the front desk team were very friendly and accommodating but other than that not an experience we would want others to have.

The Clarion is consistently clean and comfortable. Each time we visit, the staff goes out of their way to help us feel welcome. During one stay, I missed the Continental breakfast, but the lady behind the counter insisted on getting us coffee despite her busy schedule. If you're looking for that old-time hospitality and New Jersey charm, then the Clarion should be your choice.

Our room was clean and comfortable. Every amenity was provided especially a shower cap which isn't always the case at other hotels.
The staff was pleasant and helpful . We enjoyed the continental breakfast; the pastries were fresh and the fruit plentiful. Coffee was available throughout our meeting and also in the lobby.

We are staying here due to mold remediation work being done on our house. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room is absolutely stunning and clean. Nice laminate floor that looks like wood. No nasty carpeting. Bathroom is huge and has a nice deep tub. Nice size fridge with a little freezer section. Freezer section is narrow and doesn’t fit anything tall. But there’s lot’s of space in the fridge for stuff. There’s a beautiful grassy area to walk the dogs that includes an enclosed pen and garbage can for potty time. The common areas are super clean and the outdoor pool is nice. They’re doing extra cleaning and precautions during COVID. Nice breakfast in the morning with take away items. Staff is very friendly there and in the pub at night where you can get food. WiFi is good and there’s plenty of choices on tv. This is one of the nicest pet friendly hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming down the shore to exit 82.

There is a new Tom &Chee on 89th and Western in OKC and this is my third visit and it’s still Fantastic!! My family loves coming here because each sandwich is made fresh and tastes Great! My kickin chicken sandwich came out hot, toasted, and with the right amount of chicken, ,cheese and peppers. Their soups are flavorful and the people are very friendly and helpful!! If you haven’t checked them out then you should definitely give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!!

I am considering joining the NYE celebrations for 2019. I see there are different prices, based on which ballroom you pick. What is the difference between the two? How do I make a decision on what party room is better to pick? Also what time is the breakfast and checkout? Thanks for your help!!
we did not use one of the ball rooms, we had our reunion dinner in the dinning room in the bar,but there were 2 parties going on a wedding and a sweet 16, I would choose the ballroom right off the main entrance, easy to get in and out close to rest rooms and elevators and the staff there is just awesome, it was a wonderful weekend for our family, not sure if I answered what you needed to know but I think you will find this a great place to celebrate ,we are planning our next year viste back here for sure!
