This hotel is not fancy but best value for the sea girt area. There is not another decent hotel within driving distance to beach. The property is well kept. I think bathrooms have been redone but still so very small. Our room had only 2 outlets working. The lamp on my side of bed did not work and the hairdryer was not working. These small issues could be easily taken care of . Beats paying $350 @night at marriot 10 miles away but needs a few issues addressed. They advertise breakfast but they put out 2 bagels and 4 little muffins at a time.

Its a clean comfortable convenient place to stay if you need a place to sleep in this area. Walking distance to a bunch of shops and places to eat and a short ride to the beach. The aircon worked great and the bed was comfortable. They advertise offering continental breakfast. The offering is pretty sparse (some dried cereal along with a sad coffee machine that makes pretty awful coffee but there is Dr Pepper of you consider that a breakfast item). But there is a bagel place across the highway and major supermarket around the corner. As far as motels go, this one seems above average. I appreciate their rules around quiet times and that even in height of summer you can book just 1 weekend night.

I stayed at the Sea Girt Lodge earlier this summer had a very good experience. The property is very charming and well maintained. We visited for a three-night stay and had no trouble with noise. The office was very helpful in giving us local restaurant and shopping information. The kids enjoyed the pool which was in easy view from our room. We look forward to visiting again next summer.

The proprietor was super kind and helpful, he
gave lots of good suggestions to enhance our stay, the room was perfectly clean and adorable and the price reasonable. It is Only 2 miles from beautiful Sea Girt beach, which has plenty of on street parking nearby. Our stay was fantastic and I plan to return!

Patel was the sweetest man to be greeted by at the front desk. He showed us a few rooms and gave us a good rate and was very accommodating. I've stayed here two times now and this place makes me feel like I'm safe and at home. The rooms are clean, fairly new, nice towels and beds/pillows. I appreciate the mini fridge and table w/chairs in the room.

This what horrible. No breakfast. No ice. The dude working was very mean and rude. This place is not what it used to be. Refused to give us sheets for the pull out bed in our room. Made my mom (who just got done with breast cancer) walk across the street which she struggles with because of the cancer because he refused to have a breakfast. It was horrible. We had to struggle to get a new key card because ours was not working. HORRIBLE! Do not recommend!!!

Beautiful old school motel. Clean, modern rooms with excellent climate control. Lots of places for food and drinks nearby. Stayed here for a race at Wall Stadium and it was very peaceful and quiet. Small but clean pool. Would recommend for anyone visiting the shore

Room was ok pretty new, bed comfortable, fridge and pretty much everything you need. Nice location. But the people who work there are so rude. The lock on our door didn’t work even after the manager fixed it. We have lost many hours of our short weekend escape. There is no coffee available either.

I stayed in this motel in July, it was about $240 per night and it is a barely acceptable roadside-type motel. The bathrooms are old and small. The mattress was one of the worst I've experienced. It seems outrageous that palces like this can charge anything they want in the summer, even though it is a good 5 miles to the beach from here. BTW, it is not in Sea Girt, it is in Wall. Next time I'll cough up the extra for the Parker House or a place in Spring Lake.

Stayed here in July for long weekend. Awoken by NOISEY next door children every morning. Front desk & motel owner (?), Mrs. Thompson, could not be bothered with complaint or remedy. Our recomendation: Stay anywhere but this motel. Outdated, dirty baths, THIN walls so very noisey, and WAY TOO expensive. There are plenty of other places in the area with NICE owners who want your busienss.

After reading your review the following steps were taken: 1) The housekeeping staff received additional training concerning the level of cleaning which we expect from them. This included special emphasis on the bathtub and bathroom. 2) Mrs. Thompson received additional training regarding her responsibility to see to it that guests take proper care of their children and that they remember their responsibility to be considerate of other guests. I don't recall if the room had a landline phone either, because I also use my cell. I do agree that the hotel was not responsive to my comments regarding the lack of heat in the room and the problems we had trying to get it rectified in a satisfactory manner when we stayed there in April. Would not recommend this property to others, and while my first stay was fine, and we returned this year, the overall experience and response was so bad we will not be returning.
I don't know the answer to handicap access or pet policies. The staff was very friendly and professional. I recommend contacting the motel.
