I have just left Gorah after a wonderful, restorative, 4 day visit. This is truly a magical spot. The tents are luxurious, and you can indeed hear the animals outside at night. Watching the animals come to the water hole throughout the day, and up to the lodge itself, was an experience I will never forget. Nothing was too much...

The reviews and views on TripAdvisor lured us to this place and our expectations were exceeded tenfold. This was right on the end of the high-end of our budget but we will never regret one minute that we indulged our selves for a couple of nights at this amazing place. The hospitality was top notch, the tents were like palaces,...

The tented accommodation is superb and the staff and especially the Rangers are even better. Food was good rather than great - stopped at Tsala Treetop which is part of same group and food there better - but this is being very picky. Can't believe many people stop here and have any regrets at all. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing location, surrounded by animals all in a natural habitat. What really makes this place is the staff, who are fabulous. If you want to see nature up close and then return to some luxury surroundings in the middle of no where, eat dinner by candle light and sleep in a luxury tent listening to the animals and birds then...

We visited Gorah for one night before driving the garden route to Cape Town and it was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room (tent 11) was fantastic - right on the end so very private. The drinks cabinet and sherry in the room was a lovely touch...

Do it if only once in your life. Took the luxury tent for a few nights and wow, not really camping but hey. Treated to a big bull elephant sticking his head into the main dining room on our arrival and it got better. It was absolutely freezing at night time but the staff put hot water bottles in our...

If you only do one safari in your lifetime let it be Gorah. No it doesn't have some animals such as giraffes, you'll be wearing creased clothes, having bad hair days and only have wifi in the main lodge but trust me having spent two glorious days there, non of that will matter and we did combine it with a...

My partner & I recently returned to Gorah to pick up my heart, which I had left there last year. Our visit was as special, if not more so, than our previous one! The Gorah family staff, accommodation & lodge are brilliant, nothing too much trouble & of an impeccable standard. A huge thank you to our game driver, Stewart,...
