Charming country Inn, on top of the mountain. the access road is good, even after quite a bit a rain. lovely pub, buffet meals, fresh scones with tea & coffee all day, swimming pool, log fire. And the cottages are glorious. Just beware of the view out of, and into the outdoor shower!

We went there for a night to be close to the addo natural park and do a drive safari. The lodge is close but the off road to get there is quite long and you need to drive slowly. Arrived there the place was lovely and the stuff really really friendly. Unfortunately for dinner ( you have to eat there...

We drove through to Addo for the day and decided to enjoy a Sunday Lunch at Zuurberg Inn. Service was fantastic, Food was Fantastic, the surroundings are beautiful and the owner checking personally on the each table was very impressive. A definite do again Sunday drive through.

I enjoyed the overall experience at ZMV, but found that the attention to small details such as the supply of shampoo in the bathrooms and proper coffee at breakfast could use a bit of attention. Having sherry and juice available in all rooms as a welcoming drink was a lovely touch.

Zuurberg is a converted old mountain lodge toward the top of the pass. We had a cottage rather than a room in the main building - not smart certainly not basic either and perfectly adequate. They have a private patio area with a view. Outside areas generally are a bit rundown but the main building public rooms are good. Wifi...

We enjoyed our stay at Zuuberg very much! The hotel was amazing, our room was beautiful with very comfy beds and everything looked posh but cozy. The view from our room was stunning and we also had a little monkey family passing us. In the evening we had a buffet with a big choice of very tasty food. And the...

Nice place with a long history and african athmosphere! Beautiful garden and nice views over the surroundings. Very big and nice rooms, good restaurant and bar and an africanlike terrace. Thrilling road up to the location in the mountains close to the Addo Park.

Although pricey for the average South African, this is a special place and worth the visit. We were a little disappointed by the Inn on our most recent visit as it is looking rundown and shabby. The library and old pub are in particular need of some TLC to maintain the old world charm. Having said this, the staff are...
