The value of the advice I got from the owners about travelling in the area (dealing with corrupt Mpumalanga traffic cops, getting through the Swaziland border posts, best restaurant in Barberton = Josephine's) far outweighed the cost of the accommodation! So I would highly recommend it as a stopover, particularly for foreign visitors. I stayed in a pretty room with... More

Lilly & Adrian would have to be the most hospitable & welcoming hosts ever. We were on a road trip & had nothing pre booked but fortune led us to their front gate and the rest is history. The homecooked evening meal was delicious and after a good nights rest, hearty breakfast, hug from Lilly and a dog lick we... More

We had a warm welcome from Adriaan and Lili, were warm and welcoming. The room was lovely, very clean and a comfy bed. Dinner was lovely and my husband said it was... More

Rustic, homely and views to die for. Had short working holiday, staying at Old Coach road. Well prepared and presented home style dinners, breakfast was good, nothing fancy but adequate to get you through the day. Definitely not to be missed when traveling in the area.

Very reasonable rates for a one night stay for our family. Three star, with kettle in the room for early morning coffee. Nice firm bed and soft pillows, hot shower. A bit old but clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the hike, especially after the geotrail. Amazing geology to be seen an touched. Solid breakfast with good coffee. We would... More

Staying at the Old Coach Road Guest House for almost 4 weeks. Nice place to be, felt safe all the time. I really liked the breakfast and dinner. We always got something different for dinner and that was very pleasing. My wish to not have egg for breakfast was always respected and I even got a special treat like waffles.... More

The hospitality was wonderful and very friendly and the breakfast was substantial. However, I felt the accommodation was very overpriced for what we got. But it is set in a beautiful location, peaceful and picturesque.

I Had a good connection with Lilli the hostess since I called to make a reservation for DB&B. Rooms are comfortable and I appreciated the heated blanket for the cold winter weather. No TV or hair dryer in the room. Limited in-room coffee & tea amenities. This place is out-of-town and exactly what I wanted. Opt to have dinner at... More

We spent one night at the Old Coach on our way down to Kruger. Our first visit to the area and it is stunning. The Old Coach is a little run down, but quaint. We had dinner (home cooked simple fare) and a very ordinary breakfast. Overall the stay was wonderful and as a bonus that night we were treated... More
