This lodge is situated 33 km off the main road so it's very isolated. There's not much game to see and nothing much to do here except relax. Food is ok but nothing to get excited over. Activities are limited. Night drive was not very productive. Prices to stay here are outrageous and can't justify the costs. Luxury costs but...

I just lived a three nights stay in Taus Lodge 29th March to 1st April at a total cost of over 26000 Rands for two persons full board with game drives in an area without game. Upfront I was of course aware of the exorbitant price for a Lodge-stay in this area but I assumed to support a positive institution...

The lodge is well situated; staff & management friendly but value ( cost of accomodation)is only average. Refreshments were well priced. Maintenance ,particularly with regard to hot water, needs attention. The lounge/seating area could be bigger ; eleven guests were almost too many in this area.

A beautiful part of the world, staff very pleasant . Food excellent considering the distance from towns to get supplies. Not much game around the lodge, but lots along the riverbed. Being a long distance from towns was peaceful. Guides and drivers good. They are trying to do their best.

Visited with my family....fantastic reception with welcome ice cold drinks on arrival, very functional and absolutely amazing views from the cabins. The food is excellent and service is spot-on. The access road is quite a bit of a challenge, so consider parking your vehicle in the designated parking lot and use the lodge shuttle open-top safari vehicle. Route is 4x4...

I once again had the privilege of traveling with imagine Africa Safaris to !Xaus lodge . Although remote, you always feel surrounded by silence. Delicious food and fantastic accommodation considering its position. It was a very green kalahari which made it very difficult to spot the wildlife in the area but the activities on offer made up for the lack...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review. The Kalahari is certainly looking green and beautiful at the moment - your trip was at a time when Mother nature dressed in all her glory. We look forward to meeting you when you next travel.

Xaus lodge is the perfect place to forget business and enjoy nature in a great way. We had a lot of fun on the guided trips and the bush walk with john was very informative. The staff is very friendly and the chalets just beautiful.

The location is very nice, the bungalow are quite spacious and comfortable, the only problem is that there is no air conditioning , therefore were rather hot in the evening/night The guided tours by 4x4 trucks were Ok and the guide very polite/helpful; pity that there weren't that many animals around when we were there. Recommended for 1/2 days .

We were fortunate to win a 2 night stay at !Xaus Lodge. We were there for New Year’s Eve 2016. We had to drive over 90 dunes to get there, which was an adventure in itself. !Xaus Lodge seemed like an oasis in the middle of a harsh landscape. The welcome at !Xaus Lodge was friendly and informative. The lodge’s...

Our 2-night stay at !Xaus lodge was unforgettable, especially because of the spectacular view on the saltlake, the quietude, the starry nights, the safaris, the animals and the very kind people (thanks John!).
