We stayed for one night, but could easily have stayed a week. From the week leading up to our arrival, James (the owner) was incredibly helpful in recommending Wine-Tram-Line routes and restaurants to consider. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely Jenny who made it feel like a home away from home experience. Our 'Standard Room' leading out to...

Our room, #5, at Maison Chablis was gorgeous and extremely comfortable with carpet, bedding, furniture all top quality. Outside we had a small sitting area from where we could watch birds at the feeder. Close-by was the clean, cool pool. We were safe, pampered and very happy, and breakfast the following morning had lots of fruit, lovely breads and a...

We stayed at Maison Chablis for 2 nights. We chose it, having read previous reviews and we were not disappointed. We found it easily in a pretty, quiet little street just of the main street with parking and a beautiful garden. James welcomed us and gave us suggestions for restaurants which he kindly booked and following discussion advised us on...

We had driven down from Namibia and arrived around 9:15pm. James, the perfect host, not only arranged a reservation for us at a great restaurant called Allora but gave us a lift to ensure we got there before closing time. The room we had was very elegant and extremely comfortable. We only stayed for 1 night although we would have...

4 of us stayed here in two lovely rooms, which were very tastefully furnished and decorated, fully equipped with everything you could need, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and served in a very elegant room upstairs We enjoyed meeting James and chatting with him, and he was also very helpful with recommendations for eating/drinking and local information. Our only...

This is an absolute gem of a place! We have lived in Cape Town since 1994 and have visited Franschoek many times. We booked Maison Chablis for one night at the end of a family visit from the UK and were left flabbergasted at what a wonderful place it is. James the owner is without par. He was there to...

This place is great. Superb location. James is a great, approachable and friendly host. It is my favorite B&B in Franschhoek if not beyond. Very quiet area yet quickly out of own to the wineries and in walking distance to restaurants.

Stayed over here for a night. Had a very comfortable room near the pool. Room was neat with all you need. Location is great with walking distance to restaurants, local brewery and tourist destinations. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and our host, James, was great! We shall be back!

This was a fairly small but beautiful well-equipped room. It was only a 2 minute stroll to the main street where everything is, yet was a very quiet, peaceful, and secure property. The host was great too, very friendly and helpful.
