Beautiful house, comfortable room, immaculately presented inside and out. Both are a source of useful advice for ideas re days out , meals or wineries etc. We even had a quiz at breakfast - great fun. Look no further if planning a trip to Franschhoek.

I don't normally write reviews but the Garden House is really something special. If you want great and relaxed hospitality then this is the place. I love chatting with the knowledgeable hosts over sun-downers surrounded by large ginger cats and a couple of dogs. The room is lovely, continental breakfast is sumptuous so no need for a cooked one and...

Annette and Barry are a joy to spend time with in their beautiful home and garden. Look no further if you would like to sit back, relax and be made a fuss of. Breakfast was divine, room was really cosy and bed was very comfortable. We were made to feel at home the moment we arrived. We will certainly return...

Excellent start to the holiday, set the accommodation bar very high for rest of the trip. Lovely big room with comfy bed and great bathroom, can't fault either. Annette and Barry were very helpful, helping arrange tasting appointments and dinner bookings. The use of the bikes if you wish to cycle are also great, again with hilly-ness pointed out by...

I first visited the Garden House seven years ago writing a guide book and fell in love with it then. Returning to South Africa with my wife coming back to the Garden House felt like coming home. Annette and Barry are the finest hosts you could wish for. We stayed in the cottage, which is set away from the house...

We had a fantastic two night stay with Barry and Annette whilst in Franschoek! They were so helpful with things to do, the location is perfect (v close to the center) and, as a keen animal lover, the dogs and cats were a bonus! We also made a silly error with some keys and ended up locking ourselves out at...

Annette and Barry really are the perfect hosts! We enjoyed 2 nights in their beautiful home and only wished we could've stayed longer! Their warm hospitality, fabulous breakfasts and sun downer drink on the terrace are only a few of the wonderful memories from our stay. We will be back!! Jo and Mark

We were only able to stay with Barry and Annette for 1 night in the very spacious beautifully decorated "Blue" room inside the handsome Victorian house. There is also the separate "cottage" accommodation adjoining, which is twice as big. The gardens are country cottage style (feel free to wander around) and there is a large secluded pool with loungers. It's...

There is a reason visitors come back here a second or third time, as we have - in fact many reasons. The Garden House' guest cottage is luxurious and welcoming and has everything you could want for. The pool and gardens are delightfully quiet and relaxing, and the hosts Annette and Barry's generous and friendly sundowner drink on the veranda...

Annette and Barry could not have made us more welcome. From the initial G&T on our arrival to our final good byes, it was a pleasure to stay at the Garden House and to meet our hosts. We stayed in the room within the main house, which had everything we required and was exceptionally clean. There is another self contained...
