Our last night of this journey in south africa, to be honest we had some doubts as we must have passed by so many times and never saw any reference to it.. Well, it was a very good surprise, it's about 2,5km from the main road, and in absolute tranquility, excellent welcome by their staff, a glass of bubbles upon...

We stayed here whilst at a wedding on the Wine Estate. Our room was superb, our own garden and staggering views, we just loved the outdoor shower (one of three in the bathroom!) Service top class, food excellent, whilst this is an expensive place it is actually superb value with so much included.

This was our second visit to Angala. We stayed for 4 nights in January 2016, before going north to Madikwe to a game lodge. We liked it so much that we decided to return this year, staying for over a week. We really do like this hotel because (in no particular order): (1) Marlin's team produces absolutely superb food: do...

Nice location (surrounded by vineyards and mountain), super staff, great rooms... nature pool to swim with the frogs, wash up and sit in the sauna. To fully appreciate it and the area requires a few days. From here one can get to Stellenbosch in 40mins; Franschhoek in about 20 mins. So location is central to everything. The only minor downside...

This must be one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Cape Town. Unfortunately we stayed there for one night only.. Next time we'll definitely plan a longer stay. Being on our honeymoon, the hotel offered us an upgrade to a bigger suite. The kitchen was very well equipped and complementary drinks were provided. The bathroom is really big,...

Angala is a very special place, tranquil and lovely, in the vineyards of Franschoek. It is down a side road, with many annoying speed bumps, from Vrede en Lust vineyard, where we enjoyed a good lunch. On arrival the staff helped deliver our suitcases to the room, everybody chipped in, including a chef, and made you feel at home. Breakfasts...

I stayed at Angala Boutique Hotel with my husband, my sister and her boyfriend when we were attending a family wedding at Vrede en Lust, down the road. I honestly do not know if this review can do justice to the beauty of this place! We booked rooms 6 and 7, which are adjoining. The standard of the accommodation was...

Really beautiful hotel eco friendly and hoping to become totally energy efficient in the near future. You approach this hotel through Vrede en Lust Vin yard and it is a narrow road with loads of speed bumps. Arriving at the foot of the mountain the hotel is set in beautiful grounds. The room was lovely with the most amazing bathroom...

A small and very relaxing hotel with amazing views from all directions and all you hear is the sound of nature. Service is relaxed, friendly and of a high standard where nothing is too much trouble . Food is so good and delicious. Our bedroom was spacious with a really comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and an outside sitting area with table...

We recently had a strategic retreat at Angala for our small company. We found the staff to be accommodating, and keen to help. I will say that the staff do still need some training, and are slowly coming to terms with what it means to be a 5 star establishment (hint, dont make diners ask for menu's or butter, especially...
