The location is very central in Franchhoek and the hosts are very friendly. But the price we paid for just a room (no breakfast) and no basic luxuries in the room (e.g. TV) was a bit too much. Should the cost be more reasonable, we will certainly visit them again,

Dear Elmen - We are sorry that you found your room outside your expected money for value range and yet we are confident that comparatively we offer an excellent deal in Franschhoek. We made a decision not to have televisions in the rooms and this was never on offer. We are also very clear that we do not serve breakfast...

We were welcomed by the lovely owners of this property who immediately arranged our dinner for the evening. The room was so nice. Very nice decorated, shower was the best! We were visiting in a very cold day and the room ws warm. The owners even turned on the electric blankets for us once we left for dinner! It was...

I had a relaxed and comfortable stay at 22 Van Wijk Street. The hosts are warm and helpful offering tips on where to go and what to do. The room is quite cosy and clean, while the property itself is quite pretty and well-maintained. The place is located quite close to the central square of Franschhoek which means that whether...

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful B&B with the hosts being extremely kind and helpful. It was so nice to stay in a place that had a lovely yard in the back of the main house. The hosts went the extra yard to make us feel very comfortable and at home. We loved our room, with a shower...

For us this was the perfect stay as we only had one night in Franschhoek. It was one of the cheapest accomedations in the area yet very nice, clean and super central. We walked to the main street and to + back from the restaurant at night. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We traveled as a group of 5 ladies for a well deserved break. I booked this guest house due to proximity to all our planned activities since nobody wanted to drive in wine heaven! We booked a deluxe room, double room and the family suite. The deluxe room was nice and spacious with a ceiling fan. This helped as it...

Had some concern about booking here as we had spent two weeks staying in some fabulous five star hotels and safari camps in Africa but with no disrespect to the Alta and her husband we couldn't get into anywhere else. Whilst not a fan of coloured sheets and towels (prefer white ) for the money 22 represents great value. You...

Really well priced option in the centre of Franschoek. Everything you need. Very attentive and friendly hosts. Room I stayed in was spacious and light and joined on to a communal kitchen. I was on weekend away with a friend and it was perfect option for that, everything within walking distance

We spent a weekend here, and 22 Van Wijk provides the basics perfectly. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a ceiling fan to keep things cool. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower pressure was strong. There's also secure off-street parking in the back, which is nice when driving a rental car in South Africa. Others...

“I don't think there's much call between the rooms, but I'll give some tips on the locality. Going to Dieudonné for sunset drinks is a must. Also, you'll ask yourself why would I go to South Africa to go to a motor museum? The answer is that Franschhoek Motor Museum is as good as I've seen, so if you have some time it's woth the visit.”
