Well, our stay at Akademie Street could not have any been better. What a charming place this is! After the change of ownership the house and Garden have been renovated and brought to a even higher standard. Everything in and around the house is kept in pristine condition. All staff is always very friendly and helpful, whatever your wish might...

If you are thinking of visiting Franschoek this is the only place to stay. What a stunning place. We stayed in the cottage which includes your own pool and garden. The rooms were large and have all the facilities you could possibly need including a full kitchen should you decide to eat in. The place was spotless. The breakfasts superb,...

What a wonderful experience. On arrival Declan, Stacey and the team were welcoming and friendly, willing to assist to all our needs. We stayed in Vreudge - A beautifully decorated, spacious, modern room with a stunning brass bath and private swimming pool. I will definately be returning soon! I will definitely return to Akademie Street.

Made up of a beautiful colonial Dutch house in a tranquil garden, this is a real oasis. Our room was large, well appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, pleasant and unfailingly polite. The breakfasts, served outside whenever possible, were delicious. On top of all this, there are wines, spirits etc. available at no charge and the laundry...

Super hotel. Warmly welcomed by Declan and his staff. The hotel is so quiet yet it is just a short walk from the main street. Very large and comfortable room with free mini-bar. Help yourself drinks in the lounge. Super breakfast. Lovely area by the pool which is sheltered; a must on a really hot day! Highly recommended hotel. We...

We had informed the hotel that we would be arriving early to get on the 11am Wine Tram and asked if we could leave our bags with them before we left for the day. We arrived at 10am to find that our room was ready for us and we could check in there and then! Stacey showed us round and...

Everything about it is unique , beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough particularly Declan . Great location.
