We stayed at Hout Bay Manor for 4 nights as we were going to a wedding nearby. What a lovely offbeat hotel! While the entrance is furnished as it must have been in the old days with heavy dark wood - one can imagine being there in the days when the settlers first built hotels with stature - once you...

We are pleased that we have met your expectations and beyond. Thank you for your support and understanding during the time of the awful fire that destroyed so many homes. Our staff are regaining their confidence and have returned to work. We look forward to your next visit. Warm regards

The Manor has been a long established favourite of ours. There is something incredibly welcoming and friendly about this hotel. Every one is made to feel more friend than guest. The rooms and grounds are first class and it's easy just to kill time languishing in the garden. It's small, private and reassuringly unpretentious, but what it excels at is...

Hout Bay Manor is a beautiful and very nice place to be. It is luxuries and well decorated. The beach is nearby. Hobby is a good point of departure for visits to several highlights. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I am always surprised that you do not have to book months ahead to get in this superb Restaurant. It is certainly the smartest and best ambience in the Cape Town area. Service and attention to detail impeccable. A new Chef this year who's cooking was adventurous but with a traditional twist. Presentation and quality of food perfect with many...

We came for lunch and waited so long to be served by anyone that we had to go and find someone to come and take our order. The waitress did not know if or what type of craft beer was available (none). They must have been short staffed. However when the food did come it was well presented and delicious....

Gorgeous boutique hotel in an underestimated little town. We stayed here twice, once in 2001 and again this year, the new bigger pool (still small) is a welcome addition. Its an intimate hotel and you feel more of a guest than a patron. The staff are so great and give great advise about staying safe and seeing the sight in...

I cannot recommend the spa. I have been twice and the treatments are very rushed with the therapists not using a gentle hand at all. When coming to a spa you want to feel pampered and calm. At this spa you are made to feel like an appointment to get finished as quickly and roughly as possible. No finesse at...

First impressions of this Cape Mansion are good but service is poor and nobody seems to care about the guests. There were only 2 other rooms in use when we stayed but somehow we were showed to the smallest and darkest room. They could easily impressed us by putting us in a more lovely room, but that hadnot occurred to...

I am hesitant to review this gem as it’s been our little secret but the Hout Bay Manor Hotel deserves praise for their Sunday Lunch Buffet. Everything is superb – from the oyster starters to the homemade ice cream dessert – and the service is good too. The staff patiently explain each buffet item and menu options change from week...

Restaurant only - absolutely superb, from starters to desserts. Clearly a good chef in the kitchen. A great alternative to the normal fish and chips routine in the Hout Bay Harbour, which seems to be what everyone comes to Hout Bay for
