Television didn't work.complained about it they looked at it but left with the television still not working . And also the internet did not work.the breakfast was below average.it is not the place for a family with children

Filip and Marion only spoke when they good not avoid it. They showed no interest at all in their guests. Do they really enjoy running the Lodge? Apart from this we had a good stay. The breakfast, the room en the garden were very pleasant.. With a bad knee it was impossible for me to go into the swimming pool...

Clean & tidy, with a filling breakfast. There was a nice garden & pool, with loungers which enabled us to relax in the sunshine. There was adequate car parking. The owners had a couple of dogs which did not bother us.

One of the reviews mention the price too low for such a lovely establishment.Less is expected.(Please do not increase the prices now).Really enjoyed the stay.Room clean,bed comfortable bathroom tiny but functional.Swimmingpool and garden lovely.Tranquil area.The hosts and staff friendly and welcoming.Breakfast excellent well presented and served.This guest house should not be called Marula though.The name reminds of limpopo not of...

It was a wonderful Safety stay in a very nice location. The host couple is very friendly and give help in every Situation. The breakfast is very good. The only thing for tall people are the beds. Friendly and helpful owners! Nice breakfast. Clean premises. Enough parking place of the road. Swimming pool was clean. Nice environment, Good advice regarding restaurants, It was a pity that the "honesty bar" was limited to non alcoholic drinks!

Marion and Fil very friendly and helpful hosts.Breakfast is fantastic,with great selection from all. The rooms is very nice and cleanliness. Swellendam is a good start for visiting Robertson Vineroute or De Hoop Nationalpark.

What a wonderful Guest House. Superb gardens and pool. Lovely bedroom with comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff, and excellent Restaurant (Powell House) just next door, Wish we could have stayed longer.
