We only stayed one night at Roosje on our trip from Plettenberg Bay to Cape Town to split the long journey. If we had planned this earlier we would have stayed longer - for sure! What a wonderful place in the charming town of Swellendam!

This boutique hotel is totally beautiful in every way. The rooms were all so tasteful and individually located within the garden. We had dinner in their restaurant and the food was simply excellent. The owner Helpi is really warm and professional. This place is perfect for people who want to enjoy a tranquil or romantic get-away. It is very special...

Friendly hosts, delightful accommodation, would have happily stayed longer. Food very good. Would recommend the restaurant. Pretty gardens, great little pool for our 7 year old. Handy location for local Walking to local museums, pottery, bee studio, silk and weaving workshops. Loved the ethos. Thank you.

From the minute we arrived Patience made us feel so welcome and was so keen to assist us. Lovely setting.... great room... just a pity that the broken light could not be sorted out, as sadly we only spent one night. Not sure what was missing as Patience and Ivy? were just amazing. I think as South Africans we expect...

We had 2 rooms for 1 night. Good location - central - and quiet. Parking on street. Wifi is OK. A small pool. The rooms are rather dull (although they have been renovated recently) and we had leaks in the ceiling during the rain (one of our rooms was changed). The breakfast is not very good - simple and cheap...

We had a pool outside our room, telelvision and free internet. The gardens were lush and this is a very well kept and well run lodge. The breakfast the next day was very nice and...

We we're so sorry we didn't have the time to bring the ingredients for a slow afternoon braai. Braais available as well as play facilities for the...

We only stopped in Roosje for one night and stayed in a spacious room with old time atmosphere, including a walk-in shower in the bathroom and behind the house outside a private "cubicle" with a 2nd walk-in jungle shower and bathtub outside (very nice experience). The staff was helpful and dinner which we took at Roosje's very good. At the...
