Very well situated in quiet but centrally located partt of town. We enjoyed our stay here, it will be really nice once they have completed their building operations (maybe they should make guests aware of this when booking?). Standard of the room was very high, very spacious . Restruant was OK but we had to wait a long time for...

We stopped here overnight as a halfway point between Knysna and Cape Town. We were greeted on our arrival by the friendly owner (there is a bell to ring if you can't find anyone). The rooms, or rather little houses are positioned a 'village green' setting. Like a smaller version of Storms River Village in Tsitsikamma. They are very homely,...

We have just spent one night here but had a nice sleep. Room is charming and clean, a bit on the small side with all the luggage. No airco but a fan. Staff were a bit too pushy when we arrived at 6:30 pm tired after a 4hrs drive, to have us booked at their own restaurant for dinner. Just...

After sending an email, no reply. On arrival a very unfriendly 'take your car away, can't you see we are building?'. Yes. We did. And after a phone call of the owner 'are you still coming or not?' It was clear. No, we are not spending our om money in a place we once loved so much but under the...

Lovely guest house with great breakfast in the heart of Swellendam. The restaurant her is supposed to be very good but unfortunately was closed the night we were there, so we ate at Field and Fork across the road, and that was excellent.

1st of all, Swellendam is beautiful and worth staying > 2 nights (we only stayed 1, unfortunately) The Roosje van de Kaap is very beautiful and cosy hotel made of small cottages. The hotel team is very welcoming and nice. We felt at home right away. (the only problem we had was finding a restaurant to have dinner: this is...

Well located, good service and the setting is lovely. Established garden, nice swimming pool, only 50 meters from the Drosdy museum and walking distance from the best restaurants. The breakfast was really good

Roosje van de Kaap proved to be the ideal overnight stop over. The owners are caring without being imposing, the rooms are well appointed and the ambiance lends itself to a gracious sense pf relaxation, without being precious. I believe it is good value for money.

We were welcomed by friendly and helpful owners and staff. The accommodation was pleasant and relaxing. The room was spacious and well laid out. The breakfast was great. The surrounds are a peaceful tree lined street near a museum. It was an added bonus that we could enjoy the local trumpet player playing his trumpet on the street corner every day.
