Good - decent room with hot water. Bed was very hard. Nice overall area without traffic noise since away from the main part of town. WiFi though not in room. Bad - VERY slow meals in restaurant, though they were pretty good. 15-20 minutes for anything. There were lots of people here and it was very loud. I would stay...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights on our recent trip around Indonesia. We choose it because it was a Top Pick in Lonely Planet. After staying there, we are not sure why! - The restaurant area and our room was infested with flies. - The staff was ok, but not particularly friendly or helpful. - The restaurant...

Me and 3 friends stayed here this summer. We were greeted by friendly staff and taken to our very spacious room. Lovely views. The room was cool and clean and the bed was comfortable. One man in particular who worked there- David, was great. He helped us book a hostel in Lake Toba last minute as they were booked up...

As 4 travellers on a tight budget we found this hostel conveniently located as it was closer to the volcano than most other hotels but was only a 20 minute walk to the centre of berastagi (the volcano is the main/only attraction, not much else to do so we wouldn't recommend staying for more than one night!) The hotel itself...

The good thing is only one, the view. The rest include the room, the bathroom, the reception and I think is the owner is not helpfull, very very unfriendly! At night also noisy with dog bark. The location also soooo far away! Ni restaurant, no breakfast. Better you find another accommodation nearest the main road like Sinabung Hills or Hotel...

This rest home is a lovely place to start your adventure in Berastagi, staff is helpful and the food is lovely and rooms are clean and big. On the down side, the room was supposed to come with drinking water but the bottle in the room was empty and never replenished. We paid extra for a room with hot shower,...

My friends and I was looking for a place to rest. We are 7 people of us, and this hotel accept us in one room. It was enough space for us and the room also comes with water heater. Seriously worth your money!

Either the staff is shouting at 2 a.m or the dogs bark or the several mosques take their time to invite you to pray via speakers. You can easily start the trip to the volcano but aftrr the roundtrip you have to take a bus to come back. So you better stay in the city Center where you get food...

It is a basic place as the majority in Sumatra, very close to the volcano access, clean with hot water, you cannot ask for more here. Just a note about the volcano: some people pushed us to pay for a parking ticket even if we have no car. After trying to avoid it I decided to pay, it is a...

We stayed here for 2 nights before and after climbing the Sibayak volcano. The bedroom was large and very clean, the bathroom had a hot shower (albeit lukewarm) which was the first we'd had in a while throughout northern Sumatra. There was also a balcony looking onto the gardens. They also had wifi but it stopped working on our 2nd...
