If you want to get a sense of the city and walk to the limited number of good restaurants and cafes in town, the Koran Hotel is a good choice. It's small guest rooms were recently refurbished and pretty well appointed. Overall, a very good value for the modest room rate.

Rack rates were 900 and 1200 Baht. Agoda had it at 1000 but I had no wifi. Standard room was small and the bed really sucked. It was hard and the springs caused me a problem. Suggest room upgrade and checking bed first.

A nice freindly hotel, with everthing you need locally, parking to the rear with 24 hour on site security staff keeping an eye on vehicles. I went for a double superior room, bed was really comfortable with good quiet and efficient air con. The on site restraurant was good value with a good breakfast. If you are looking for somewhere...

A really quiet and pleasantly surprising hotel/resort. The decor is a little dated but dont let that put you off, it has all the amenities you would need including stunning views from all rooms, a great pool and a really good restaurant that is located separate from the hotel with a terrace over one of the lakes. Great place to...

Clean, great service and a really local vibe. It looked mostly like Thais were staying here, but foreign travelers will feel comfortable. I had a traditional Thai breakfast that was tasty. Price is great as well. Good location for walking to street food.

The internet was fixed in due course but the water issue wasnt...We eventually left after 2 noisey nights, telling the reception to keep the 3rd night fee...enough! The rooms in this hotel are in need of some serious renovations. Everything looks as if it is from the 70's , with all expected wear. There was no hot water when we were there. you get what you pay for, price was relatively inexpensive. at least they had 2 english-speaking TV channels which was a much welcome change from...
