It was really nice staying with Bamboo Family. The food is really good, the beach is nice and quiet, not crowded, and the people want you to feel comfortable. They really want to create a “family feeling”. Organizing evening events (such as having tapas or cocktails together, or watching a movie). Which is nice. It is not the right place...

We were looking for a tranquil place to unwind after a few weeks of traveling and Bamboo Cottages turned out to be just the ticket. Was just getting into the swing of our heavenly, languid routine of reading, dozing, swimming, kayaking, eating, dozing, yoga eating, dozing swimming, snorkelling and reading - soundtracked by waves and birdsong - when we had...

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of March & had a lovely time with amazing weather. We stayed in the stilt house, the outdoor bathroom is great. Bamboo is very lovely, on an incredibly clean beach (the beach beyond does have some litter, along with the island). You can swim in the sea & they have a kayak...

We arrived at night and it was a long drive from the airport as it is on the other end of the island. Our driver Minh was a highlight of Bamboo and our trip and when we asked, he stopped to get us some Banh Mi on the way. We arrived at the resort and were treated by some lovely...

The most relaxing place on earth, perfect, beautiful, everything you are looking for, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, I don't know where to even start. I just got back from 4 nights at Bamboo Cottages and I do not have one bad thing to say, I loved it. I rented the stilt house which along with the Woodhouse is a standalone...

Mmm... I think this place was wonderful in the past. They are doing everything they can to make you feel relaxed. One MAJOR PROBLEM MASSIVE CRANE next door. While having my relaxing massage on the beach the screeching sound of the crane overpowered the sound of the sea. Eating my breakfast delicious ruined by the sound of the crane. Taking...

Chao Englishtravelingrose, I'm very sorry you did not have a good time with us at Bamboo Cottages, but I'm also disappointed in the content of your review. It is hard to read tone in text, so I will say now that the tone of my words are meant to be strong and slightly sarcastic in some ways, but not in...

Beautiful beach away from any commercial developments. Beautiful cabins with large glass doors open to sea breeze. Kayak 15 minutes to a little island with a reef for snorkeling. Amazing food served at lantern lit tables right on the beach. Wonderful beach palapas with lounge chairs. Excellent yoga instruction twice a day included. A staff that was kind, gracious, helpful,...

Chao Kathy P, Preserving the natural environment of this island is crucial and will always be an ongoing battle. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Your detailed comments are much appreciated. Please come back and see us sometime in the future. Warm regards, Charles and the Bamboo Family

My girlfriend and I had two wonderful nights at Bamboo Cottages before we headed south to Long Beach and a larger resort. We booked ahead of time, so departing Bamboo was preplanned and nothing having to do with them. In hindsight, we wish we had stayed all three of our nights on Phu Quoc at this cozy collection of bungalows....

Chao Michael P, "The cozy nature of the resort means that you develop a familiarity with the staff there and can easily connect with guests if you so choose." ... exactly. Join our family as a person, not a #. :) Thanks for joining us, and we're very pleased you had a wonderful time. If you wish to come back....

Before I tell you why I loved Bamboo Cottages, I warn you that the Phu Quoc Island should be avoided until the government provides a waste management system that isn't scatter and burn. Additionally, the islanders and domestic (probably Chinese tourists too) need tools, including education, so that they take care of the island that sustains them. I'm not exaggerating...

Chao Jennine P, Well, we're thankful your review score was based on what we can control and not at what we cannot. I will say, that the time that you stayed with us was an abnormal quantity of waste washing ashore, in comparison to the rest of the year. Typically at the change from dry to rainy season, and at...
