Had an excellent experience of staying here for 2 days. The awesome view of Jakar & Chamkar town is just unbelievable. The hospitality and behaviour of hotel staff is worth mentioning specially of Mr. Karma, The Manager of the hotel. We were the only guests at the hotel as it was off season and still everyone makes us felt royal....

Hotel room was large, clean and functional although a little used and dated. There is no hairdryer, no shower curtain and the only bathroom amenities were 2 small bars of soap. But towels were clean, hot water was in good supply, in room heater provided and service was good and friendly.

We had a variety of different rooms during our trip in Bhutan, but our room at Samyae was the best out of all. We felt like royalty. The staff was very friendly (and also funny), and the food they prepared us (including one warm picnic lunch outside of the hotel premises) was quite good. I really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere....

Our group had a talk with the manager, who told that after some bad times with different managers, he was trying to set things straight. And it showed. In the two nights we stayed, they presented one of the lunches as a picknick on a field between some monasteries nearby, and the next night when we booked a dance group,...

The plumbing is such that there's a smell of sewage that wafts up in the bathrooms, and permeated the hallways as well. The food was poor, repetitive and just...
