Punakha is our second Amankora lodge, as you probably realize if you have been checking out the Amankora reviews that their rooms are very similar. All have very high celling ,and low light at night. They have to conserve their electricity. Anyway you look at it, it is still one of the cleanest, and best service hotel. If you need...

The attentiveness of the staff and the great food and evening entertainment was a high point of our stay in Bhutan. Both the lodge managers went out of their way to take care of all our needs and the chef took care to meet our dietary preferences. And the location is great. The only thing to be aware is that...

The site in the nature is amazing, giving a peaceful sensation helped by the design of the hotel and of the room. Nothing to say about the service, one of the best experience we had in Bhutan so far. Same for the food.

property location is great; just close enough to the river to hear it clearly at night and reached by a swaying footbridge- very romantic! Staff was excellent as was the food delivered by the fine Malaysian chef. Our second floor room was very spacious but contained minimal furniture which is in line with the Aman style but this was really...

Being in the Punakha Valley is a wonderful respite, especially when coming from Gangtey. Punakha has the lowest altitude of the bunch, and is also the warmest locale as a result. While it's not quite as scenic as Amankora Gangtey, the setting is magical in its own right. Getting to the property requires crossing a suspension bridge across the Mo...

We stayed in 2 Aman properties (other what Thimphu) whilst in Bhutan and this was our favorite! Reason being is the magical location of this property. You get dropped off at a bridge and a buggy takes you thru the forest to the farmhouse. What an entrance!! And then when you get there you are perched on top of a...

Amankora is sensational! The service is divine, the lodges/amenities are excellent, the food is fabulous with a great selection of local and international cuisine which makes the whole package perfect for a trip to this amazing country. Amankora guides were so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the best of Bhutan in line with how we...

The descent to the warmer climes of this Punakha valley is a delightful part of the itinerary through the country. Located close to the river and among rice paddies this lodge too has all the modern comforts required and a most friendly team of staff. There's also an archery range and some easy mountain-biking terrain. Do visit all the sites,...

We arrived at a spot by the river out of town ..had to cross a gorgeous old bridge which had all prayer flags attached along the sides ...walking across this bridge on the other side the hotel staff was waiting with a buggy to take us up to the top where a beautiful converted old farmhouse building ...with a kitchen...

This was my favorite Amankora arrival. Walk across a public suspension bridge, golf cart ride up a small path through overhanging trees, arrive in a lovely garden courtyard. This location has the best outdoor dining location because the grounds are lovely. I wasn't a huge fan of the long, communal tables indoors, so I requested a private dinner in one...
