The room was clean except for the bugs in the room. The staff was very rude especially after I asked for a fan to try to help cool off the room. The room was #9 and was so hot that we could not stay in there any longer. 93 degrees in the room at 11:10pm!!! The night manger told me...

We stayed in this Motel in July 2015 on a 13 state bike trip, we mostly stayed at Best Western Motels, but when we found this little beauty we wanted to stay for a while. Our rooms were the only two rooms they have on a second floor. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the cleanest I have ever stayed...

The motel itself was very nice. The room was clean, nice modern rustic decor, comfortable beds. The room had a flatscreen tv & mini fridge. But 2 things made this motel AWFUL! #1- there is NO AIR CONDITIONER. After checking into the room late that evening with all of our luggage & not being able to find it, the office...

On a solo motorcycle trip through Northern New Mexico in early May. Pulled into Chama after about an hour of pouring rain and decided to call it a night. Found the Chama Trails Inn right at the intersection of the highway, looked like a nice warm comfortable place to stay the night, and my first impression was correct! Found the...

The staff at the hotel were wonderful to our cycling group. The rooms are quite large with parking in front of the room! So convenient. Our linen was spotlessly clean along with the room. I would always stay at the Trails Inn when in Chama!

The couple who own and operate this "mom and pop" inn are very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Decor was Southwest mountain rustic and well maintained. Only odd thing was that if you want privacy in the room from the outside porch you have to close shutters inside. No curtains or sheers. No biggie though. Great location...

Whenever we go to Chama, we stay in this motel. It is quaint, comfortable and CLEAN. The owners are fantastic and always accommodating. Over the years we have had some bizarre issues arise and they have always been super helpful. They even let us use their washer and dryer!! Chester and Starla are the BEST. We love to come back...

Clean, cozy, warm, and friendly. What more can you want? The room was clean and cozy. We stayed warm with the temperatures low and a breeze coming up. It is a quiet area so we appreciated that also. I think the 1 thing that made our stay best was talking with Chester, the owner. He told of his time as...

We had to cut short our motorcycle ride due to some scheduling issues so we ended up in Chama. One of our group had stayed here before and recommended it. Good choice. Clean comfortable rooms. Proprietors Starla and Chester are concerned about accommodating their guests. Definitely would stay here again.

After a LOT of research on nearly every place to stay in Chama and the vicinity I settled on Chama Trails. My initial phone conversations with them were helpful and friendly. We had the family suite which was a huge room, and the beds were so comfortable. The rooms were clean, and nicely decorated. We were traveling with family who...
