We stayed over the weekend in the Sunflower suite-a very nice cottage with full bath, kitchen, quiet bedroom. There is a nice tv and wi fi but we did not use it much-opting for walking in the area and reading. The staff is friendly and helped us when we locked our key in the room. My wife loved this place...

We just returned from 3 nights in the Sunflower Suite, just behind the main motel. I was so pleased with our stay that I'm writing my first TripAdvisor review. The suite was a great value for the price--spacious, clean, attractive, and comfortable. The owner is helpful and welcoming, yet respects your privacy. The surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful. Dogs are...

OK, this is just a modest little motel in a small NM town, but with a little bit of effort, it could be so much better. On the plus side, the room was clean, and there was a shelf full of books if you were bored, and it actually had pretty decent lighting. But: there were no drinking glasses/cups of...

There are no excuses for the missing drinking cups, tissues or soap. Period. I am so sorry that they were missing and your experience was less than your expectations. When we took over the Lizard, we took out the 30 year old carpets and put in laminate floors, put in new mattresses and replaced all linens, had tubs repaired, are...

So, this is a small inn - four main rooms face the highway. (There is a suite around the corner.) Outside each door are chairs and a table so you can sit and read or enjoy the crickets at night. There are few amenities inside, but there is a small communal refrigerator on the porch! This was very handy. The...

This motel may not look very appealing on the outside, but the rooms are quite comfortable and clean. I was traveling through the area with my small dog and had so few options for dog friendly accommodations. The rooms were very nicely furnished and comfortable . The linens were fresh and new and all well laundered. I would only suggest...

It's hard to tell if the owners are new to hospitality and just learning the ropes or tired of the business and just don't care. There is no way to describe the grounds other than as a mess. Tools strewn about. Weed patches where the garden should be, etc. We stayed in the suite. I cannot recall why I booked...

Thank you for your comments. I am so sorry you were disappointed during your stay. Ours is a “quaint”, “quirky”, even “funky” little motel, made up of old logging cabins moved here about 50 years ago. Since we bought it four years ago, we have been renovating, renovating, renovating. I will be the first to say much of that doesn’t...

100.00 per nite is fine but no amenities in room. Hot water not available. Soap to shower with not available. Quaint room comfy bed but that's all you get for 100.00. Please care about your guests more :( A little goes a long way. Most guests are hiking or down by the river fishing soap should not be a luxury!

I am so sorry your experience was not as pleasant as it should have been. We do supply soap and shampoo in all of our rooms and are sorry yours were missing. We try very hard to supply a comfy, clean room to all our guests and I have no idea why the hot water did not work. Sometimes a...

We stayed in the Sunflower Suite for two nights. The suite was roomy and comfortable. It would be perfect for a family with children. Lots of room to spread out and a nice kitchen. I wouldn't recommend it for older folks with mobility issues. There are steps to climb to get to the Suite and the bed is very high...

This is the second time staying at the Laughing Lizard. We got the Morning Glory rooms both times. The room was clean, there is no TV in the rooms but for us it was perfect since we had no intentions of spending the day in a hotel room. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo and body wash. The beds were...

The room was nice with hardwood floors, which is great because they allow dogs - their best feature! Clean, neat, free wifi and right next door to the only breakfast place open in town. No tv or phone, but the wifi works fairly well although we were the only ones in the hotel at the time.
