I rented two rooms here for a short stay in Jemez springs. Although the building is older and the exterior needs some TLC, it is clear the owners pay attention to the rooms. Everything was clean, and although not fancy or recently renovated, it was quaint and in fashion with the environment of Jemez. I loved that they were dog...

We were looking for a quaint, roadside motel and found it in the Laughing Lizard. The four room motel sits off the highway so that the noise was a non-issue for us. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the porch inviting. The porch had chairs and tables for each room, which was a nice touch. It's obvious...

This motel looks worse than it is . . . Inside it's clean and functional. There are no T.V.'s or wireless. There is a noisy road outside. On the positive side, the price is cheap for the Jemez, there is a porch to sit on and a good breakfast place next door. The window all open and have screens. And...

My husband took me to Jemez for a last minute getaway. Check in was pretty smooth. The room was clean. If you just want an affordable, quiet place to sleep after a day in Jemez, The Laughing Lizard is perfect. No TV, no AC, but there was a box fan in the closet. Up in the Jemez mountains, AC is...

I small old-school style "motel" Inn with books on shelves instead of TVs in the rooms. What a place!! Perfect for the area. By the time you've finished a day of exploring and soaking in the hot springs who needs a TV. When your head hits the pillow at this place, you're out. Very cozy, no frills and clean. Enjoy...

I only write a review to tripadvisor if it was an exceptional stay. Laughing lizard Inn was way more than we expected. Book the suite tucked away in beautiful Jemez springs. For the price of a moderate hotel, we were surprised by having an entire house. Very quaint and comfy. Large living area, big bedroom and the most amazing views...

What a fabulous find this place was. We spent one night enjoying the quaint area of Jemez Springs complete with a hot spring soak and massage and our overnight accommodation's at the Laughing Lizard Inn was the perfect location. Within walking distance to the springs, a local pub with friendly people & good food and breakfast next door where we...

We spent one night in Jemez Springs for a reception at Los Ojos. The location at L.L. Is hard to beat, it's within walking distance to everything in town. Building could definitely use some work which the owner was doing, needs some serious TLC. Rooms were clean but could use some AC, 92 degrees in the day made for a...

I stayed at the Laughing Lizard Inn for a week. I had driven through the Jemez Mountains 18 years ago and decided to come back and explore the area more closely. Since I didn't want to camp alone, when I looked online, this place seemed to have the right feeling of simple and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The weather...

My wife and I stayed at the Laughing Lizard during our week in New Mexico last month. It's a fine stop between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, especially if you're interested in hiking in the area. The rooms are plain and they are not air conditioned, but the temperature got low enough in the evening -- even though the day was...
