Will not return here, even for $60/night, mostly because of the rooster on site that starts crowing before 7am. The first thing I noticed were about 20 dead fruit flies scattered on the table under a hanging lamp that had been left on. The switch for the bedside lamp was broken so I had to plug/unplug it to turn it...

Hotel was clean, simple, staff was polite, continental breakfast consisted of two types of cereal, oatmeal, orange juice, coffee, and a few pastries. Overall what you would expect from a hotel of this type.

The staff was very nice but they said they never got my reservation from Booking.com made months earlier. Good thing I had printed out the reservation as a local event filled up all the hotels in town so they were able to fit me in. The interior garden and Koi pond with seating under cover were very nice. The rooms...

I stayed at the Big Chile Inn whenever I came in town to meet with my dissertation chair. The first time I stayed I got in really late. After I had checked in, the owner, Dave came to the door with a plate of chips and salsa. I was so tired and hungry that the gesture made me smile. From...

We stayed here because of positive TripAdvisor reviews but were disappointed. Our room had no coffee maker, no tissue, no hair dryer. We heard music from next door and feet running overhead. The front desk did not have our reservation made on TripAdvisor on their computer but had to go back to a binder and find the hard copy. When...

This way a bad motel. Not maintained well. The breakfast was not advertised as a continental breakfast but that was all it was. Had a large opening on the door frame that had to be fixed. Three lights were not working when we checked in. It was obvious that the housekeeping didn't know how to turn over a room between...

Still not sure whether this was a regular motel or an apartment building with a few rooms open for nightly use. A lot of the people there looked like they lived there on a permanent basis. Most of the rooms were in a courtyard and the only access point was through the lobby. I wasn't really impressed with the lobby...

Every descriptive word I can think of for this motel starts with a D: drab, dingy, decay, dirty, depressing. We needed a place to stay while heading home from a long road trip. They asked if we wanted non-smoking or smoking and we replied "non," however, the first room reeked of stale smoke. They were friendly at the front desk...

The Big Chile Inn is one of those places that bring back memories of childhood travel with my parents. It is an older style motel with a Ma and Pa owned feel. The rooms were quite comfortable and of a very nice size. They have a refreshing pool in their award winning atrium area. There is also a nice gazebo in...
