The hotel is a nice get away from Lusaka. Unfortunately it means it is pretty busy for Sunday lunches, but after that is quietens down. The lions seem well looked after and if you get up early you can feed various antelopes on the hotel lawn by hand. The family rooms are very good - with either a combined room...

Beautiful outdoor area for children to run around and play on the swing set or swim as you enjoy the sunset. Best for sunny warm days. Very family oriented hotel. The children enjoyed playing. We also walked to the nearby lion cages.

Lovely quaint place with a mix of cottages and rooms. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the rooms and restaurant are all nice and clean. The portion sizes are huge in the restaurant! The pool is also big enough and well maintained and clean. Over the 3 nights we stayed we saw Kudu, monkeys and deer...

We enjoyed a game drive that was full of stunning bird sightings and ungulates in abundance. We returned to the restaurant and enjoyed a cold Mosi under the shady trees, again enjoying the sights and calls of birds. The lunch was delicious and service friendly and efficient.

Protea Chisamba is always a nice place to visit, away from the city but with short travel time. Always enjoy the game drive and chatting around the pool area or grounds in serene almost undisturbed nature.

We had a good time at Protea Chisamba, you can go on a safari drive at any time. You can take a walk to see Kimba and Kiara (the lions) in a cage. This was an awesome experience being up close with the lions. The place also has several bird species which are beautiful to watch. For the amount of...

Had a great experience staying at the Safari Lodge. Animals seem tame and would come up close to rooms. I even had a deer stalk me for a bit. Took a walk to the lions' enclosure, and on the way even saw a jackal (nothing happened, thankfully). Felt really bad for the lions though, because they were locked up in...
