I wanted a bargain motel and got one. The sheets on both beds were not clean - full of little black hairs and the bed coverlets were stained and dirty. The owner helped me take my bags to a new room, which was full of skull artwork and books. When I went to pay the charge was $10 more than...

Management response:

I am so sorry for your bad experience. Usually, the housekeeping staff does an exemplary job, but obviously in this case that was not so. The room I moved you into is #13, so it has a not-scary horror theme, which many people enjoy. As for the price issue, on my end it was showing the full price, and as...

Raton Pass Inn is a great place to stay. The owners have really recreated the 50's and 60's by using pieces from that era and using a different theme for each room. We stayed in the Wild West room complete with our own mounted deer head. Bed was very comfortable and shower powerful. Easy access from Hwy 87, 72 and...

Thanks for staying with us! We need to give that deer a name--any suggestions? Come back and see us again sometime!

My daughter and I stayed here on on our first night of a long road trip to Colorado after reading other reviews. We got to talking with owner and he reserved us room 13 (which is classic movie monster themed) for our last night on the way home. The place is clean, comfortable, great decorations, lots of vintage stuff that...

Enroute from Colorado to Texas we found the Inn on TA. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and attractively decorated. The "dog-friendly" room was great. Our daughter's German Shepherd loved it. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this quaint 1950's era hotel in October and it was great. The service was excellent and very friendly. It is close to the downtown area and off the interstate a little but very easy to find.

This is a great motel. It is super clean and up to date. The 1950's-60's theme is really appealing. Each room is a work of art. The rooms are spacious and feel more like a living room than the usual bed with a walkway. In my room there was a writing desk, also a table with two chairs, a closet...

This motel is so cute. We loved our stay. The owner of the place was wonderful she was so nice and the rooms were so cute. The prices that you pay you can't beat anywhere. The free breakfast that they offer is great you can either eat it in the breakfast room at a table that is set up family...

This is a charming 1950's era motel and the owners have retained that vibe with authentic touches throughout the room. At the same time, it is very clean, comfortable and with everything (appliances, etc.) in excellent working order. When you are driving through Raton Pass and spy a bright turquoise wall with pink flamingos around it, you know you are...

I tend to seek out those places to stop and rest that most might forego. Places that are interesting with a bit of history. I found it here, A funky little place away from the pile of franchise motels down the road at basically the same price. Lots of character. Individually themed clean and spacious rooms. A nice breakfast room...

Raton Pass Inn is a great place when you're looking for a place for a one night stay. The rooms are clean and the owners are very nice plus the price is extremely reasonable. We go to Colorado on a regular basis and will definitely stay at Raton Pass Inn again.
