Not a good place: difficult location, outdated appliances, poor maintenance, lousy TV signal, small bathroom, impersonal staff, expensive fireplace (must buy "DuraFlame" logs); the list goes on. We won't be back.
Was disappointed in this condo. Needs a lot of updating. Our dishwasher didn't work. Window shades were falling apart. Very limited cookware, dishes and Only 1 wineglass. cracked floor tiles. On the positive side they fixed the dishwasher, hung new curtains and replaced one tile...More
Beautiful views...lots of wildlife. Staff is friendly. Our condo #402 was clean and newer appliances in kitchen. Full washer and dryer. The furniture is like something you would find in a camphouse.... You can tell these were built in the 70s. Needs a facelift for...More
It is misleading to call High Sierra a "resort". If you are looking for a true resort experience with a beautiful building, lots of onsite activities, amenities, restaurant etc., then look elsewhere. The property is old, with shoddy construction, outdated mismatched furniture and décor from...More

I don't remember what unit we were in. It was in one of the buildings that was toward the end(away from the office) I heard that the ones that were closer to the office were in better condition. The one that we stayed in had black mold growing in the shower as well as ground in dirt in many areas. It was disgusting! Appliances were dirty with crusty food and kitchen window was smeared with something. Curtains were ripped down, and the main bedroom the blinds were dangling from the ceiling. A lot of the things in the unit were broken beyond repair.
Hopefully, you will get lucky and get one of the units that they have fixed up.
We took our own pillows and towels which did help.
I had to wash all the bedding before sleeping in the beds since they were dirty and they smelled.
The views are beautiful, and you will probably like the balcony area if you are there in good weather.

"Each unit I saw was completely different. Your best bet is to call the resort and ask."
